Thing of beauty.  Beck threw it so cleanly to JS you’d think he had a Miami Jersey on

And now, we fans in Arizona will get HAVE to watch that crapfest on a regular basis. FML.

Every time I watch Fernando run that play in for a touchdown I get chills....anyone who complained when he won the Heisman immediately shut up after that historic play!

Nationally, not enough people are recognizing IU and Cignetti as the true spiritual successor to Saban's Alabama.

Think that will change with another CFP appearance and Sales signing. Ideally the start of a trend of 4/5 star talent steadily coming to Bloomington.

Cig may have another 8 years or so in the tank. I cannot believe some talking heads are still asking "what to make of Indiana?" but I suppose asking that type of question about the defending national champions is designed to get a reaction out of people, lol

Yea, I think so.  Definitely the process and high standard stuff, which is key.  There are two differences to Saban that are interesting imo:

1) Nick got talent by stacking blue chip recruits like few programs ever have.  That could happen pre-NIL with his reputation and his local car dealer friends.  We obviously somehow get it from lower rated players like no program I’ve ever seen.

2) It sounds like Nick had everyone burning the midnight oil and working 24/7.  I’m not sure Cig’s interviews are entirely accurate, it is partly marketing, but he says our staff has a life and we practice short and intense and don’t even use all our allowed practices.

On the topic of practices, I like the reports Cig says very little and people have a hard time noticing he’s there.  He doesn’t scream all day like day Kirby.  Hopefully that extends his coaching career.

The media has a hard time explaining IUFB.  That’s why we saw the exaggerated roster spend claims (debunked) and stupid age narrative (debunked).

I can’t totally explain it.  I think Cig and the staff somehow get total buy in and belief from players that leads to an incredibly effective team that can beat the rosters that start with higher rated players.  He’s kinda like RMK in that regard, without the anger issues, which is nice.

I don’t quite know what to expect going forward given how unprecedented this all is.  I think we’ll be very good.  It’s awesome we locked in our place in history with the 16-0 mega natty — it makes whatever comes next icing on the cake.
