IUFB @ “Some people call them PurDon’t” - Friday, 11.28.25 @ 7:30 on NBC

Recommended Posts

This will be fun.

  • Puredoo is next-level awful at all three phases of football.
  • We are so ******* good at football.
  • The Hoosiers need to preserve and complete the undefeated season.
  • IU will be rested, relatively healthy, and ready.
  • It's a national, network-prime time game.
  • Most teams are broken by IU early in the third quarter; Purdump might get broken and sad in the first quarter.
  • Puhdoo's starting QB is now an undersized running QB who isn't all that fast. It's like having the starting fullback play QB.
  • Their best player and soul of the team is out for the season
  • Ross-Ade Stadium will be a Hoosier-friendly crowd to an extent never seen before.

Last year we scored 66 and they gained a total of 67 yards. Can we exceed that standard, or will we merely have a 'Wisconsin-like' solid/no doubter win?

It is sure gonna be fun to find out.

From a long range forecast standpoint, for whatever that's worth, looking to be another weather game of some sort. Either ice cold, wet, or both. Right around Thanksgiving things are supposed to get wintry in these parts.

I hate hearing that.  Don’t like us having to play in lousy freaking weather!  And at night!  I don’t care if it’s a nationally televised game or not!

It snowed last year when we played Purdue and it didn't effect us

I think Stu makes several good points, but Coach tells me to be hungry and humble so I won't pile on...

;-)

Honestly I do think this game could be closer than expected due to the rivalry and the old IU has stuff to play for and PU has nothing to lose...

It's November. I know we're still getting used to being good at football, but it's far more likely to be rainy/snowy/windy or some combo at this time of year than early in the season.

Last year's curb stomp on those effs up north probably still has a salty taste in their locker room up there. Throw the records out the window. I expect this game to be chippy and hard nosed.

They are so incredibly undisciplined and confused. The polar opposite of us.

i just don’t see the bolded part of your post as a viable possibility.

Maybe, but the overwhelming majority of people in that locker room weren't part of that 66-0 blowout.

53 new players via the portal which is 2nd highest in the nation. Totally new coaching staff.

Payback won't be on the minds of most on the Purdue sidelines even though NBC announcers will try hard to convince viewers otherwise.

There's no such thing as a "viable possibility" when it comes to rivalries. In my experience, expect the unexpected.

Payback will most certainly be on their minds. Just because the team turnover is high doesn't change the uniform they're wearing. It's the freaking Bucket game.

These two teams are gonna strap it up. Let's hope we break those effs will like we did last year.

Getting super fired up for a game is pretty useless when a team just plain old isn’t nearly good enough.

It’s just not possible for Purdoo. Talent development, focus, attention to detail, and scheme don’t get fixed in two weeks, even when they’re playing a rival.

At this point, you being worried about something is a pretty good indication that we don't need to worry.

Also, don't underestimate how important this game is to IU/fans/Cig. When you're undefeated and angling for a high seed/bye, and IUFB, none of these games should be underestimated. It's not like after two seasons we're Georgia. No game or opponent should be taken lightly. Should we expect 66-0? Probably not. But there is no reason PU should be in this game by the 4th quarter.
