Why is the show going one place and the crew another?

It is unusual for them to be separate, but there is really no reason given outside of they both are pretty big games.  FOX gets their choice of which to broadcast, and they might have had a hard time to figure out which one to do at noon.  I am just spit balling ideas.

Indiana/Penn State will give FOX a bigger viewing number, but there are better storylines at Oregon/Iowa since they just had us a couple weeks ago.

Or maybe the BNK semi driver refused the horrific drive up to State College.

That’s fair not fair to subject an innocent person to that

I have concerns for this game. We've never won at Beaver. This is PSU's last chance to salvage something from this season and build toward the future. PSU still has more talent (according to stars) and if they put it together for 1 game can really be a problem. The staff and players for PSU are going to throw everything they got at IU. The one thing that makes me think it may be alright is that this game is at noon and some of their homefield advantage could be despondent at this point. Hope I'm wrong about everything and we beat the **** out of them but I wouldn't be surprised to be in a dog fight and even potentially lose this one.

The early line.  Hoosiers are 13.5-point favorites at Beaver Stadium vs. Penn State, o/u 47.5.

The line has since moved to 15.5 to 16.  Yeesh.

Once again the $ is coming in on us and once again I’ll say I hope it’s all smart money!

For all of the understandable teeth gnashing about injuries, to date we've had exactly one injury that will matter in the long term; Wyatt.

The other injuries have all been short term or minimal in impact:

  • Evans - short term and Michalski ended up doing well last week.
  • Sarratt - looks to be very short term.
  • Franke - excellent at what he does but very low impact role and Warren also kicks deep very well.
  • Fisher - a big deal but the timing was good (post Oregon/Iowa/Illinois), and appears now to be relatively short term.
  • Turner - de minimus.
  • Beebee - Excellent player but maybe our single deepest position.

For a competitive football team this is pretty excellent. To our credit, we have mitigated injuries by reducing game snaps for the starters in five of our nine games that were complete blowouts. Our subs have played the equivalent of about a game and a half by now.

Great perspective here.

I’m kinda curious if Sarratt would have played if we needed him in the second half.
