I wouldn't read too much into it. It's an honor to get an offer and these kids like to flex them. But yes, in football recruiting, flips are way more common. 

Now, if he schedules a visit, I'll definitely look at him sideways...

I don't get too attached to any of these guys until they sign.  Fortunately, it appears the B1G uses pretty good contracts so when they sign it seems to stick.

Also, tweeting about an offer doesn't bother me much, a lot of players do it.  But I agree it comes off pretty awkward and I don't blame fans for feeling a bit annoyed.

Speaking of signing, I don't get why the rules can't change so players can sign their rev share/NIL deals anytime.  Why have a signing day this day in age?    Sign the damn contract anytime and we can drop all this commit 100%/decommit/commit 1,000%/etc. nonsense.  The commitment should be signing the contract.

Whatever, Cig & Co. know how to manage all this.  I'm glad I don't have to, it looks like a nightmare of a time.

No. It really never has been but it's really not now that NIL is legal. Just like every year, we'll lose some verbal commits when it's all said and done. We'll see if Brown stays committed to IUFB. If he doesn't it's more than likely we were out bid.

.....and the more this goes on, the more Coach Cignetti will quickly move on from these type of players. I can see him thinking/saying, "If you're in you're in and if you're sniffing around elsewhere after committing, I'm out!"

......Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti has established a strict team-first culture, emphasizing that players focused solely on money, especially those asking for NIL funds immediately, will not play for the Hoosiers. Rumor is Louisville is involved, and he's from there.  Could be a kid staying local/close to home story, on top of money of course.

Players might get offers even if they aren't actively seeking them.  

Cigs might also try harder to keep those he feels are more important.

I also read his dad is taking visits currently?  Could be a rumor but if that's true, it likely means the dad is looking for $$ too.
