Tickets have been going for ~$40 and even seats in the lower sections have been ~$70 the past week. I wonder if Iowa fans are kinda checked out on their program right now? Given all the talk about Kinnick stadium I would’ve thought this would be a hard ticket to come by.

If this weekend wasn’t so crazy I think I would have made the drive.  Thinking about going ro West Lafayette instead though.

And this is homecoming for them with a gorgeous forecast. Really weird. I’m sure it’ll be a good atmosphere, but it’s no Autzen in a couple weeks.

Both, Illinois and USC look overrated today.  They both, look flat, slow and not much energy.  I suppose that would be a potential positive for Iowa…..for USC and even little Illinois this game is like watching a toothache in first half. Boring!

Looks like Ponds is questionable for the game. Hope it’s nothing serious and he can play without injury and take the bye week for rest, but I don’t think Iowa’s pass attack is too much a concern this game so maybe they keep him on the bench

If you lose this one it isn’t gonna be because Iowa threw it 50 times. If he’s not 100% good sit him and give him 2 weeks to get right for Oregon.

I tend to agree with this. For a CFP level team, it shouldn’t take a D’Angelo Ponds to stop Iowa’s pass game. Find a way to grind it out and win games you should and be ready for Oregon.

I actually miss him more on special teams for this game. Feels like an explosive special teams play could be what puts this game out of reach for Iowa.

I agree we should be sure he is ready for Oregon but losing a guy that basically shuts down at least 1/3 of the field is a pretty big deal, especially because our DB depth isn’t a strength of the team.

Losing Ponds changes things for Iowa's passing game. They probably go after whoever is in his spot pretty early. Our defensive front really needs to show up today.

I would probably run at Ponds even before knowing he’s injured. He’s a good tackler, but he’s still tiny. If he’s playing on a bum hammy/ankle, I’m running at him all day.
