Hope that’s true. Would rather, comparatively speaking, overpay for a probable multiyear kid like Allmond than a probable 1 year kid like Thompson.

Putting this in traditional position terms, LA is more of a 4 (who could play the 5 in small ball). AT is a 3. 

I think they would complement each other well. 

From a money perspective, IU should be able to get both too. It's just a matter of if they want to spend it this way.

Glad to hear we are competing.  Seemed like he loved us at first.  Hoping we can put a package together that competes.  
 

As far as “Trilly”. He/They get this right.  Sounds like it was accurate info to start and still accurate now.  
 

I’d like to have something happen to shut down the narrative we don’t have money.  Not a great thing to be circulating in the industry these days of recruiting.

Trying to look at the glass as half full, some pundits seem to think that AT wouldn't want to play along side Allmond.  If there's any truth to that, then that problem will be solved.

Couple of things here: 1) We’ve heard multiple times that Allmond has a guy there on staff at OSU that he’s tight with. But if you look at the staff, unless I just missed something or didn’t look far enough down staff, I’d love to know who it is. The farthest east any of them has coached is Western Kentucky and they’re all midwest/southwest guys, which certainly makes sense with Lutz. Curious. 2) Even though I think Lutz will do well there, this might be a portal watch down the road.

Kudos to the new staff for not getting into a bidding war over a top 30 kid that wants top 10 money. It makes sense for Steve Lutz to want to make a big splash for next year at any price. Hope we are able to push hard for AT and VK. AT, VK, and PAM would be a fantastic first HS class.
