This is why I refused to get excited about Wilkerson at all. Other schools just know how much they have to outbid IU by.

Helps give some perspective about how hard it is for coaches to leave a good job to go and rebuild somewhere else.  While the portal helps it also hurts.  There are a lot of kids available to recruit from the portal but you also generally have most of your team go into the portal.

This has nothing to do with the quality of the IU job but more to do with the coaches being happy where they are at. These coaches just use other openings to get more money from their current employer. It just doesn't make since to make a lateral move at best and leave a very successful program. You don't want too your family across country if you don't think it is necessary so you don't mess with winning or happiness.

Is this guy a great recruiter? I don’t know much about him.

I know Drew is supposed to be a pretty good recruiter, especially in the Midwest, but are we looking for more player development or recruiting or both?
