Man…… I promise you all that I’m trying….. but I do not feel an ounce of excitement towards IUBB. Not even a little bit.

I can’t tell if it was the apathy from the last 2 years, or whether I’m just missing something with CDD.

I’ve read, watched, and listened to all things CDD lately and it’s not moving me at all.

I hope everyone adjusts their expectations and realizes that this is going to be a much longer build than what we were wanting.

What? The dude is undefeated at IU. He’s killed it in his….10 days as coach.

Have any of the insiders heard about how the player meetings went? Obviously not well since none are coming back but I'm just curious if anything interesting happened. Thrown plants and the like. A poster on peegs is saying he heard Mgbako's went horribly.

I don’t think the fact that none may come back means the meetings didn’t go well. Other than Goode, I hope none come back. And if you mean not well from the players’ perspective, I don’t really care.

Your mind is protecting you, It's had about as much disappointment and frustration as it can handle.

They gone.  Seems the meetings went well.   :)

Seriously, that tells you how bad the culture was that apparently none of those guys wanted to put in the work for an obviously real college coach who likely has more expectations than Coach Hump ever did IMO.

My guess is most of them were told to leave.  I don't think they had an option.

honestly, I'd have even more respect for DDV if that was the case...

I’d love that to be the case.  But Woody’s guys were Woodys guys.  Most of them.  I think several soured on him. But in general, they really liked each other and together hated the fanbase so they could all feel better about their inadequate results.

I think Reneau is going to kill it at Georgia, Florida, or Miami.  He’s going to be so good.

be curious to see what Rice does.  And where he ends up.

Same with Tucker.

We aren’t losing much.

A fresh start is needed by all.

Agree with this. Given how DeVries has explained what he wants from players, it would be a shock for any to return. Especially given they would almost for sure take a pay cut.

Yeah not sure why people are afraid that we are losing players.  We kept a lot of players from Archie and Woodson and it didn’t create stability.

TJD just helped mask how truly terrible Woodson was

No need to pile on the previous regime, but if TJD hadn't stuck around for two years I could see the Woodson-era bearing a striking resemblance to Kenny Payne's time at Louisville...

My guess for some, like Malik, is it's just as much about their NIL package as how they fit.

DeVries is team building. No one on this past season's roster (outside Ballo who graduated) deserved the high NIL percentage they had and undoubtedly want going into 2025-26 when DeVries is building the team. Some will do well elsewhere, and that's good - I hope Malik does great elsewhere - but overpaying them here made no sense.
