Chris Beard - Coaching Candidate

Recommended Posts

I don't know what happened, either Beard is getting exactly what her deserves or he is being falsely accused (yes it does happen). Regardless, Beard would totally divide an already badly fractured fanbase....I just hope we can get a very good coach that most, if not all of us can get behind.
Sounds like we are going the mid major route which is a big letdown to me. I will support them and hope they succeed but my expectations will certainly be tempered with the new hot thing. Many are busts

Yep, it’s an entirely different ballgame. The best coaches with years of experience are already in the P5. Then you have to Wade in those waters and beat them at their own game. Rarely works.

I don't care what happened between Chris Beard and Randi Trew 3 years ago. It's obvious she got roughed up.

An elite 8, an NCAA ru, and two conference titles in his first 4 years. That's more than enough to get an interview.

Same, 1 of the best 5 coaches in all of college basketball. HIRE HIM!!

You just commented about the horrible pictures, then this response?

Parroting at its finest to fit your narrative.

It’s what I remembered, but in fairness it may be I’m remembering the several detailed accounts of her injuries. So my bad on that.

But you think that matters? You feel good about the completely uncontested detailed accounts of her significant injuries? My narrative? Bro, that’s just lame.

Even if he stays at Ole Miss, I could see him getting to a final four in a few years, and if you get there, anything can happen! But he will likely find a better situation in a couple of years.

He's not being falsely accused lol. A physical altercation happened between Beard and his then fiance, that's undisputable as neither party denies it. You seem to think that putting your hands on another person, let alone your fiance, because they broke your reading glasses is an appropriate response. It isn't and Texas agreed as much and fired him for-cause. He didn't even fight it. There's been other repeated patterns of behavior (that haven't warranted the police being called) that have surfaced any time a search firm tries to vet Beard. There is a reason why Louisville and Kentucky passed on him last season and why it appears IU is doing the same this year.

How about we just let this thread die a natural death?.  IU did take a look and has passed.  Beard is NOT a candidate for the IU job.

Because that is not public information. Everything at this point is conjecture and rumor. Why not just allow people to hope he is a candidate?

You want to continue to waste time discussing him as a candidate go for it but we're not going to keep re-hashing events in his personal life that have already been discussed ad nauseum.

So let's make a spinoff thread of this spinoff thread. Call it whatever you want, and the people who don't want him as a candidate can use this thread.

Whether you like it or not, some people on this site think he should be considered. Since there is really no information leaking and people don't have access to what's happening behind the scenes, how can he be ruled out until a new coach is announced by the university?

I don’t disagree, but honestly, people who just want to argue so badly should really take it to the DMs at this point lol

Please provide proof or quit posting this nonsense just because you can't wrap your brain around a guy being falsely accused of domestic violence.

Neither is Brad Stevens but that's brought up by the minute.
