Ran the social media platform for all of BTB social media account, I forget how many total followers we had between all of the apps but is was in the 100’s of thousands.

Was on the old scout board / HSN and it’s  several iterations going back to around 2000 I think, got asked to mod there by Milehi (RIP) and Colonial Crester (RIP), did so for a few years, CC was really great behind the scenes, things kind of changed after they passed away, knew Stu, Jaybob and several of the crew here, good guys all around, finally made my way over here, enjoying it — and the no assholery comment above is right on.

lol @Magnanimous, GoColts - there’s a name from the past. had multiple arguments with that guy  so much wasted air. my favorite was his declaring that IU should have taken any Indiana HS player over Vic, because Vic wasn’t a basketball player, he was “just an athlete.” (At some point the little light went on for me to finally realize how silly it is to argue with people on a bball message board lol)

I remember you now Race as Brumdog from back when. Didn’t know that was you, cool.

He was always an interesting read. He had this weird prejudice against players from the East Coast. I think those complaints also extended to students at IU.

My name here has always been Dave From Dayton.  You can call me Dave From Dayton./s

Actually, maybe I did change my name on btb years ago.  Just remembered:  IU? I'm Fine.

Been here for over 10 years.  Hung around other sites...maybe Rivals, Scout and/or HSN.  Got fed up immediately after RMK firing due to a rift about true fans.  Wow.

Really remember one poster that loved RMK.  ExPatHoosier was his name and I heard he changed it...and went poof.  What site was that????  He would put on his X and O and matchup coaching analysis and explain in detail how to take advantage of the other teams and coaches just before the games.  He had the philosophy of RMK: "Mental over Physical as 3:1.    To me it was riveting.  Others just wanted to Phi Slamma Jamma.    It takes both...disciplined and a good game plan.

I remember each and every ebb and flow of all the coaches.  RMK could not and would not hold his tongue.  In this society one needs to not be an @$$.  Gawd I miss his coaching.  Mike Davis sitting on the stool up next to the playing floor.  I remember shock at Sampson's hiring and the controversy. He could coach rings around the rest that we have had since RMK.  I blame IU for lack of control.  They need to let the coaches know that certain things are not to be done here if they are not to be done here.   I actually followed Dan D before he came to IU...at BGSU in Ohio.  He is an autocratic know-it-all...that I do not have to listen to and he should not coach, players hated him. imho.  I knew of Crean up in Milwaukee.  I was in Madison WI at the time and then was opposed to his hiring for reasons.  Mostly hat and no cattle.  Archie was not on my short list.  But he was excellent here in Dayton.  Again...he did not fit IU and IU seemed not to want to help him...pffft.  So pissed at IU.

I did not want to bring anything from the other sites.  I remember my handles but they don't mean anything now.  I do remember some of the handles from way back on other sites.  I remember a month long timeout that JohnsonIU may be talking about...glad to report that it wasn't me in the corner.

The last 25 years has mostly been a slog.  No consistency.  Lots of hype.

I was at IU back in '69 and enjoyed watching George McGinnis and Joby Wright.  My recollections of the best PGs are Thomas and Buckner. Graduated with my fiancé the year that IU went undefeated.

I miss Channel 4.  And didn't get to see enough of Calbert Cheaney.  And I do not understand game plans anymore.  And I don't understand why players cannot make free throws.  Actually, I guess I do understand.  Something about willingness to put in the time and effort to prepare to win.  But that's me.

This site, the format, the posters, and even...some of the mods/s... make being a non-insider almost feel inside.   Tip o' the ole toupee.  And thank you all for being here.   Is it nap time yet?  Oh....game tonight!  So excited.  Kind of.  Well...jeez...

Made a Scout account when I was 16/17... I wanted to see if Crean was going to offer Hulls, Bobby Capo, and others on Indiana Elite. They were in my class and destroying my AAU team on the weekends. And Elston, although he didn't play on IE.

Enjoyed it.

Made the move to HSN 1.0, then to HSN/247, and then to HSN in its current state. I didn't find you guys for a little bit.

Y’all have seen my entire history. Never posted on another board. Was looking for 1 to maintain ties to IUBB when we moved away from Indiana. Checked out the usual suspects and thought they were mostly trash. Saw this site mentioned on 1 of them, checked it out and thought it was just a good bit better. More collegial. Less reflexively contrarian. A lot of clearly good folks not just looking for a fight. Seemed like a fit. And in 12 years or whatever it’s been nobody’s said “Dude, stop writing books. You can make your points much faster.” So I think I’ll hang around.

I started on Peegs around 2003 or 2004 and to be honest, don't remember my handle.  It was JD(something).  Lurked mostly but did post here and there.  I even had an account on the FireMikeDavis.com message board when it was a thing.  :-)

Been on BTB since 2014 and is the only board I've been on since.

Was on HSN strictly as a lurker and have no idea what my screen name was.  I am on 247 as BobENite but am a  very infrequent poster.

Hard to believe I've been on btb almost 11 years.  Time flies when you're having fun.  Started out as a lurker and finally came out of my shell with probably a pretty innocuous first post along the lines of Fire Mike Woodson (joking).  Got to know CCG (rip) via pms and he really held my hand as I began to become a more frequent poster with a special interest in basketball recruiting.  If you don't like what I post don't blame him.  If you do, take a moment, look up and say a silent Thank You.

It's not always 'hugs and kisses' but we are a family that just wants all of Indiana University's sports teams to be successful and something we can all be proud of.  Thanks to everyone for making this such a great site.

Thanks for the post.  Somehow it triggered my memory banks.  My previous name on some sites and this:  IU?  I'm Fine.

If you don't understand it:  It is based loosely on how we talk in southern Indiana...Indyuky.  Or How are you?  I'm fine.

My random-access memory sometimes is very random or doesn't work at all.

I was one of the first commentators on Inside The Hall. Even at one time gave them a juicy tip that blew up (Cody Zeller was checking out the business school outside of his official visit. ) I got tired of them because they were not critical when it warranted it and then I came to a group that dissolved and split into here. I hate u all( not at all ,just got to show my tough guy persona) but we’re IU family.
