He was at Toledo for five seasons and then Baylor for one....even with a redshirt season and the extra COVID year, he's used up his four years. He only threw 12 passes in 2019 and 1 in 2020 but I really doubt that he is going to be granted a seventh year. Waiver has already been granted according to Michigan writers. Doubt he could’ve officially entered the portal without it. lillurk and RaceToTheTop 2 Quote

Pagoda Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Mendoza was at Mizzou over the weekend per reports. Quote

Redshirt year, COVID year, then 3 seasons of double digit games followed by a 3 game injury year. There have been many similar cases I've seen get another year so I expect he will also. Quote
go iu bb Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 Is this the more important of the 2 transfer windows in terms of talent? It seems like most of the good players would transfer now and the spring would be mainly those who probably didn't perform in spring practice. Is that the case or are they about the same in terms of talent in the portal? Quote
Magisterium Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 Looks like Pribula to Mizzou fwiw hmm….. RaceToTheTop, Jeff Flabjohns and Pagoda 3 Quote

Based on last year, I don’t think we had a high success rate of transfers AFTER spring ball playing significant mins this season and some transferred out, I believe. Quote

cthomas Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 Kids who participating in bowl games get some time to enter the portal. So there could be some impactful players available. On the other hand we don't need as much as we did last year. Quote

West and Ponds were huge additions in the spring, and I'm pretty sure Tucker was a spring guy too. Obviously 2 of those guys were JMU additions so there was an established connection. It'll be interesting to see how he does in the portal now that he doesn't have his former school to pull a bunch from. lillurk and MemphisHoosier 2 Quote
maharkn Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 On 3 now has Indiana at 79% for Mendoza to IU, Dasan coming back to the BIG with Nebraska Sent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk Quote
