They aren't going to fire him now, but if OSU doesn't win it all my guess is he's done. OSU this season was, quite literally, the best team money could buy. The boosters ponied up and bought him a team they felt couldn't possibly lose to Michigan again...and he did. They spent the past two decades dominating Michigan until Day came along. Now Michigan is dominating them and they're not handling it very well.

We Hoosier fans can certainly relate to a "coach" who under delivers with "the best team money could buy".

I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way, but we need an infusion of talent (higher stars) in the transfer portal and/or recruiting. I love the production over potential mantra, but in order to compete and conquer the Ohio St, Oregon, Alabama, and Georgia's of the college football world on a regular basis, we need a little boost.

It’s not just the losses either but that down the stretch In both losses there was questionable decision making. Seems like Days entire gameplay is “go out talent the other guys”. And when that doesn’t work he’s gotta pull out the ole trusty football for dummies

we have significantly fewer holes than last year, though....

WR-- Sarratt, Cooper, Becker

RB-- Black+Green+Khobie Martin

OL- Evans (on the mend), Lynch, Smith..... I also assume Nick Kidwell can get a med RS, that would be a boost.

QB- Tayven, 2 FR

DL- Tucker, Burris, Landino, Ndukwe... (Kamara has eligibility, but I would think he's gone)

LB- Fisher, does Walker have more eligibility? Hardy, Jones

DB- Ponds, Ferrell, Johnson, Sharpe---- DBs have a chance to be excellent.

Two dudes I'm very interested to see develop--- Austin Barratt (6'6 308) RS FR and Evan Lawrence (6'6 280) true FR.... these two are REALLY good athletes, they both just both happen to be huge humans.

Barratt also has a brother who starts at LG for Iowa State.

My bad! I created it on my phone and was so irrationally proud of the phrase "Portalstravaganza"  image.pngthat my semi-old guy brain mis-routed.

By the powers vested in all of the fans and the administration and the media and all others that have ever even walked the hallowed halls and areas of SSAH and The Rock, and/or have frequented this excellent site, you are hereby granted a conditional pardon and made a honorary true fan and provisionally excused from any and all SNAFUs and brain farts until the end of the season.  Unless, of course, Indiana loses a football game or a basketball game which is rumored to have been your fault or anybody's fault, or no fault, including Woody's fault, can't be Cig's fault, or refs' faults.  Additionally, unless, of course, we otherwise change our minds...and communicate that fact on this site.  Except, provided however, that you do not enter the top half of any prediction thread results.  To this we dutifully and faithfully communicate our opinions as facts.

(Maybe, just maybe, I had one too many cups of coffee.)

(Portalstravaganza is definitely worth the price of admission.  Well done.)

Why is Nic Toomer listed on our roster?

Was he a part of that mid-season group that announced they were transferring?

No. He announced this summer, I thought.

Oh, I can't find anything about it. His Twitter account makes it appear he's still around, but he wasn't in the senior day video and I'd think he'd be done by now. Odd. Sometimes those guys just kind of disappear without a trace.

22 schollies will for sure be available as soon as our season is over----- that does NOT include Kamara (who will probably leave), Kidwell (med RS?), McCormick+Evans (who I am not sure of the scholly status).....

That number also doesn't include the quitters, I mean mid-season transfers, sorry--- McCulley, Williams, Warnell, Logan....

So, possible that number is more like 28 schollies and that doesn't include more outgoing guys that are currently on the roster.

For sure. But, the others who have transferred have been removed. Odd.

Maybe I'm confusing Toomer with Minor? Idk. Either way, obviously hasn't played at all.
