Dave from Dayton Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 Well, it's almost 5 o'clock somewhere. I am not surprised at losing to OSU. Painful how it happened. But this will not dampen the feeling that we have taken a huge jump up in football. Great year. IUHoosier5, cthomas and Golfman25 3 Quote

Ryan Day is the most thin skinned coach in America. he was going to try and acore there. Should’ve left it a 17 pt game and lobbied the committee. Hard to do for a guy like cig tho. I get it. The risk, to me, was not worth the possible reward. Just a poor decision IMO. I see that, but if Warde Manuel meant it when he said they watch the games as one of their main criteria then I’m not sure it mattered. Film won’t lie on that game. Quote

Cig would have done the same, so I cannot fault Day. Cig made his decision and paid the price. DChoosier 1 Quote

Annoncers were even lobbying for it. Now is just a curb stomping. DChoosier 1 Quote
RoadRage Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 This season lined up really great for IU, we seemed to catch everyone at the right time, even this game we had the bye week to prepare. That is not going to happen next season and without Rourke, we may drop to the middle of the pack? Quote

Banksyrules Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 Look we were fundamentally sound. It’s just that you can’t have those special team mistakes. If our kicker would have kicked that ball I truly feel we would be in it. cthomas 1 Quote

steubenhoosier Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 Need to take a long look at the play calling in this game. Multiple times ran for 6-7 yards on first down and then followed up with two passes. We needed to play a ball control game. Keep their offense on the sideline and eat clock. As much as the special teams put us in a hole too deep to dig out of, the play calling did us no favors IUHoosier5 1 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 Funny how a win over weak, pathetic, little ol' IU -- the losingest program in FBS history -- is such a feather in O$U's cap. AKHoosier 1 Quote
