For what it’s worth, the only school sponsored my Under Armour in this recruitment is Auburn. That doesn’t really mean a whole lot…

They just switched to Nike.

Auburn will stay with Under Armour until the new contract begins in July 2025. “I think Nike has set a certain standard on the American collegiate scene that we wanted to be a part of,” Cohen said.May 21, 2024

Meaning Lewis would be playing for a Nike school at Auburn.

Just pointing out that you'd be hard pressed to see a basketball kid sponsored by a shoe company without a school repped by that shoe company in their final list.

Yup, an interesting example being Darryn Peterson, who signed an NIL deal with Adidas after announcing a final list of KU and 5 Nike schools. He may have them on there, but there’s only 1 school on that list he’s going to.

247 drops him to 4 stars and ranks him 46 nationally. The "stars" are aligning.

Stars and national ranking be damned. This kid can play no matter what label they wanna put on him. And if he wants to be here, he’ll be welcomed with arms wide open. This would absolutely be a statement recruiting win for CCC and staff. Do we know who the lead recruiter is, Sunseri?

Sunseri has been recruiting him since he was like 8! LOL!

He could fall another 84 slots and still be our highest ranked commit ever according to 247's current historical ratings. Plenty of room to get him into the proper place to be an Indiana commit!

Yeah, maybe there’s some smoke that he’s going to flip his commitment to us if he’s dropping already, lol.

Getting a commitment from Lewis would kick start the program to an unbelievable degree. It would attract other high end talent and we would be on our way to relevance. Not going to get too far ahead of what's happening, but we are on the edge of something special. I have more confidence in this staff than any in recent memory.

An IU student. Doesn't look like a hot source, but I guess he could be connected to the program:

I concur. But he's not wrong if you think about it.
