Averaged 5.3ppg his first year and 11.7 his 2nd year at New Mexico. Shot 35% from 3. Super athlete. There has been a lot of great JC players and two helped us win our last championship. I am not questioning him being from JC but the other teams that are recruiting him makes me wonder about him. If coach has confidence he would be good here that is good enough for me. Quote

HoosierInParadise Posted April 10 Posted April 10 There are some good JUCO players out there.I think the JUCO, D2, and low mid-major is a route for some of these high school players that would have been recruited to a higher level if the transfer portal didn't exist. Freshman classes for high majors have gotten super small, which has forced high school players into different avenues to get there later. RaceToTheTop 1 Quote

Now don't go running to HSN to talk about me, Scotty. I remember when he hit the transfer portal after that came to light but then withdrew his name when the moderators upped his NIL offer. WayneFleekHoosier Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Risley said four or five new players by the end of the week. Betcha Comer is one of them and I’m completely cool with that. I think his mindset fits what CDD is looking for really well. Sometimes you like fits and I can’t wrap my head around it. Local kid. That’s good, i guess. He’s an undersized guard. Albeit, athletic. But just terrible shooting splits for 3 seasons against low level competition. Decent overall stats this season at Evansville until you look at the advanced stats. I don’t see it translating at all. So if this is our move that would mean Enright is our starter and Comer is our backup PG. That’s about as weak at the PG position as you’ll find in the big ten. Marion was getting paid well at VU(which sounds wild for a JUCO kid). The AD at the time was a teacher of a class I took and told us about it. Quote

The one thing I do like about Comer is he does get to the line -- at least last year. 5.6 free throws from your point guard is a ton. It's also an abilty that Reed Bailey has -- he got to the line almost 7 times/game at Davidson. lillurk and Home Jersey 2 Quote
