Getting them here is one way to be lucky, but getting them to play together and win is a different level as we seen this past year.

You have to think Woodson & company have told Payne if Ballo committed or will be. Hopefully they can convince him to come too by saying he might not start but will get starter minutes. 80 mins to distribute between him, Ballo and MR for the 4 & 5 position. MR getting 30 and the other two 25 a game.

Throw Tucker in there and that is a top 7 of Rice, Carlyle, Galloway, Tucker, Mgbako, Reneau, Ballo.  It's strange that a McD's boy is kind of getting forgotten in all of this, but I expect he is going to get quality time.

I'm not sure how you can get Payne and Ballo on the floor at the same time, though.  Reneau can at least shoot from the perimeter some, but Payne and Ballo are interior threats only.  So if MR is playing 30 minutes and Ballo and Payne had 25 minutes each, that's 10 minutes with Ballo and Payne on the floor together.  And that doesn't even account for occasional time where MM switches to the 4 with 3 guards/wings in.

I don't see a top 25 offense with that collection of talent. Rice, Carlyle, and Galloway are going to find driving lanes to the rim few and far between with Reneau and Ballo clogging the paint. And Mbgako is the only (semi) reliable 3 point shooter out of that bunch. Maybe top 40?

Maybe Payne is willing to be a backup for the right amount of money and the chance to be on a good team?

Look, you have to get your priority guys in first and either get them locked up or move on.  Having second priority kids coming in first just mucks things up.  If I am Payne, before the visit I'm on the phone saying WTF, is Ballo your man or me?  I am not betting on anything until the ink is dry and the players show up.

I mean anything’s possible but he’s a player and want to play good minutes, and othet teams have NIL too. I don’t think it’s realistic— definitely interested to see how this pans out
