Mmmmm.. I don't agree, unless MR is the 5. If he's the 5, then maybe.

I don't see Bryson as an auto start, at all, I also feel there's no way he's a Top 20 kid.

It doesn't matter what you or I think.  He's a highly rated 5-star that had been offered by the G-league Ignite.  He wouldn't go to any college without being offered a lot of money and starting role.

I hope not…

Tucker is ranked 13th, 17th, and 19th by the three recruiting services.  He was going to skip college and go to the G league.  Tucker is not coming to IU to come off the bench.

Of the players ranked 10-20 on 247 this past year, only 5/10 ended up being consistent starters throughout the year (Castle, Cadeau, McCain, Evans, Dillingham). Tucker is by no means a guaranteed starter, he is more of a developmental prospect than a ready made guy like McCain.

One thing to remember about Tucker is he's 17, he doesn't turn 18 till July. He didn't play a lot of AAU and not sure he even played HS last season. In the Mcdonald's workouts the last couple of days he's struggled. Not sure what he has been promised but it's not crazy to think he comes off the bench.

How would one make the McD's game w/o even playing HS ball? I seem to remember he was playing but can't remember where off hand and too lazy to look it up. Seems really unlikely he'd be selected if what you post is accurate.

He played his senior year at Bishop O'Connell. But yes, he did not play AAU.

My good man @IUc2016corrected me that he played at O'Connell. I knew he was at IMG but left.

Sounds like we are trying hard to get a visit from Myles Rice from Washington St. PG with 3 years left.

with all the smoke around kid from Iowa, could both the iowa kid and rice co-exist as starters?

IF I'm Indiana, I'm looking for a roster that has Galloway and Tucker coming off the bench. Unlikely, but that would tell me IU has a chance to be very good next year. Still HAVE to land a Point guard, a 3 point shooting guard, and a center.

I am not on social media but I hear he has some interesting IUBB followers. We need NGW to give us a thorough analysis on this.

Wasn't NGW our resident social media analyzer? Or am I thinking of someone else?

Just follow Tyme with a bunch of numbers after it on Twitter and that's NGW. I'm sure he has the analysis already up unless you've been blocked by him

I hope this staff is not operating under the impression that there is only one starting spot available, point guard. Need to land 2-3 impactful players. Only sure thing starters should be Mgbako and Reneau. I saw the Center from Louisville is visiting in a few weeks. Would assume Perkins is too.

Portal is just so different. In NBA/NFL free agency you have an idea who is out there. We still don't even know who else will go portaling. Cam Spencer chose UConn in June. Grant Nelson chose Alabama in late June. Just a few examples from teams still playing in the tournament. If there are truly 4-5 spots up for grabs, I think Perkins is a take. However, need a 2 guard that can shoot it next to him. No idea if the center from Louisville is a take. I assume he wants to start.

I am fine with Tucker starting if he is physically ready. He seems like a very good pick up! Just don't know enough about him yet. If Tucker starts that means your 3-4-5 spots are covered. Need a center obviously for backup purposes even though they will see plenty of time.

For me?

Sign Myles Rice and give him the keys for three years.

outstanding player, and long-term culture builder. You cannot ask for anything more.

It's very likely his three point numbers improve. Very good player on a team that won a game in the tournament.

He’s from Georgia; wonder if Ya has a hook here. Hope so.
