AH1971 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Evans could be a very solid pick up depending on the price tag. 13 and 7 last year as a plus defender. Basically had the same offensive rating and usage as DeVries last year but a much better defender and rebounder. I suppose we paid close to $2million for DeVries. If you can get Evans for $1.5 or less it’s definitely a net upgrade. Alford Bailey 1 Quote

Don’t need to catch lightning in a bottle with Evans. We wouldn’t (or at least I hope we aren’t) paying him to be our best player. He’s a complimentary 4 with good size and athleticism that rebounds and defends well for his position. Huge upgrade positionally in that regard from last year. Unexpectedflash Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I like Evans and he would be a good first piece. Feel like he fits what Devries wants in a 4 and actually has the athleticism to be a good defender. He only shot 30% from 3 last year but it was his most attempts ever. If he can get that up to 34-35% that’d be a real plus. His ft percentage indicates he should be a good shooter though so room for hope WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

Jeff Flabjohns Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I don’t love this. He’s gonna be expensive…don’t think the ROI is there. At 1.5M I’d like it. He’s definitely a B1G 4. Have to pay to get guys though, especially without a track record of success NVFalcons1990 and BannerVille 2 Quote

Maybe $2mil but I don’t see a contender paying that kind of money for a good but not elite piece. His agent has ties to Villanova and believe Georgetown is a team to watch as well but doubt either of them have the funds to shell out $2.5+ for a single player. Would love to have him but not someone I think you get into a bidding war for with all the pieces we need to add. Alford Bailey and Stuhoo 2 Quote
