So it looks like Rabby thinks IU will add 2 more and save the final scholly for Goode. 1 of the 2 will likely be a big then the other maybe the guy from Greece (best available) or a freshman.

Josh Harris has some decent stats and 3 years of eligibility. I wouldn't be upset at landing him, though I was hoping for another 4/5 guy and he doesn't look big enough for that.

If Harris is visiting I’m assuming he’ll be on the roster, just my opinion

So are we out on Federico, Payne, and Curtis or just no visits this weekend like Rabby said. If Luke doesn't get the waiver then we go with a freshman or the guy from Greece (best case scenario)? Wouldn't be upset with Josh Harris and a big.

Would love this kid, putting up 13/7 as a freshman is impressive and he’s got good size at 6’8 210.

Hes not the defensive big we’ve been looking for, but I do think we need to add some young guys.

If Goode is part of the team, the coaching staff needs to be clear that he can’t be commenting on social media. No responding to Dakich. That needs to be a directive for the whole team.

It should be everyone on the teams directive to dunk on Dakich every time they can.  The coaching staff, AD, President, every student and fan should as well.

The test of optimism continues.  Definitely a different approach.  Taking multiple players from a mid major that was terrible is another interesting approach.

It could all work, we’ve got some talent and definitely some guys that want to prove things.

Let’s see

Isn't he 6'8 and 220?  That's not guard size my dude.

And North Florida is one of the few teams in the A Sun who purposely schedule power 4 games to get the team ready for conference. So he’s definitely faced high major competition. I can’t wait until UNF comes to Bloomington again so I can get courtside seats haha

Let’s see

UNF has the 2nd worst NIL money in the A Sun. They get ZERO support from the administration. It wouldn’t surprise me if their beach volleyball team or baseball team got more NIL than basketball. They’ve also lost their best three players in each of the last three years. They were terrible last year too but their best player won SEC player of the year this year. I bet you would’ve loved him on our team this year wouldn’t you?

No. That’s what he wants. He’s the guy you ignore.

I’ve come around to this. When a legitimate commentator makes a good faith argument / point that you want to push back on and defend yourself, that’s fair. Dakich is just a professional troll trying to drag people into drama. You ignore that like he’s a petulant child, because he is.

He’s selling clicks. It’s all he has left after trashing his career. He needs manufactured outrage to stay in the dim spotlight he has left. He’s not even that good at it but “kids”  “boomers” and “idiots” fall for it. No legit people even pay attention to him.

Not really a test of optimism. This kid is a clear bench piece and young. He will develop this year or will get recruited over. But he has good measurable and put up points and rebounds vs better competition than kids going to high school in Indiana.

I like the wait and see approach. With the collection of skill sets the players have it will be fun to see it come together when the season starts. If he got a bunch of guys that work their tails off, I believe we will see a vast improvement on the court from what we have seen the last 8 years. I'm excited to see how he puts it together.

Just block the guy. Easy.  Or troll back by referring to him as Dan Jockitch.

I could be wrong, but my sense is that recent history suggests that schools prioritizing high performing mid major and/or unproven P5 talent in the portal have out performed those that emphasize established P5 portal players. At least in cases where a major roster rebuild was required.

Michigan and Louisville are obvious examples last year, Florida, KState a couple years back.

The two players you are talking about were the top two scorers and rebounders on said team and they were a freshman and sophomore.

I would love to get Federiko. Haven’t been able to find any kind of information on us - or others - for him anywhere.
