I saw some of it this morning but never really found what was being discussed. What’s up with Zrno? His agent screwed him over? Sounds like UK is in on him pretty heavy what I’ve seen

he has his own thread!

Somebody posted in one of the threads that Golden had a strategy of going after midmajor guys with great advanced metrics. Reading through our commits bios it occurred to me that CDD appears to be going after guys who were really productive at the mm level. Might be two sides of the same coin. But interesting nonetheless.

CDD seems to be utilizing the same strategy as Cignetti.

UK fans still unhinged? They've reopened a thread about the 2020 "bad behavior of IU fans in Assembly Hall" lol!

Yeah…they like to replay the 2012 Watshot loss and the horrendous treatment of BBN fans in the aftermath.   What whiny maroons they are.  LOL.  :)

Sounds like he was chasing a bag and Woodson complied... when Woodson "retired", Zrno decomitted and now he and/or his agent are crying that DeVries didn't reach out, and now isn't taking his calls... sounds like a true head case chasing a bag, IMO.

Yeah, don't forget that Christian Watford had the audacity to hit that three and beat them nine years earlier... how dare he? :D :D :D

How bout a prison wet burrito: Pepperoni Pizza Hot Pocket with Spaghetti O's poured on top?

More like a shrimp  ramen with the cheese left over from lunch , with mad cow cheese , hot sauce , rice and beans packet , meat log and crunched up Doritos. Been there done that.

Will Sisley be someone capable of playing 10 mpg next year?

I’m feeling pretty good about the team now that we’ve got 7, possibly 8 guys. Coach can be selective (not that he wasn’t before) and fill in the gaps because a good percentage of next year’s minutes are accounted for.

1) I don’t love the comparisons with football and Cig. Just not enough crossover for me due to the differences in roster size and construction. Cig had a couple good high major transfers too.

2) Getting a chance to look through and compare some good rosters its almost all mid major or below transfers. Intuitively that makes sense because good high major players will get paid where they’re at and mediocre ones aren’t likely to start producing a lot at a different high major stop. (There are, of course, some exceptions here and there).

The better rosters seem to be all mid/low major transfers mixed in with one or two home grown guys recruited out of high school.  So the big key to me seems to be: how well can you scout mid/low major guys for production at a higher level?

Funny enough, Woody stunk at that. Guys like Hatton, Sparks, and the one supposed shooter from Tenn Martin were all initially at the non-major level for a reason. They were too short, slow, etc… Woody got the most run out of his high major transfers: Jonson, Ware, Kopp, Goode… Ultimately, paying above market price for high-major proven production was a losing strategy for Woody.

Sort of. Ish in that area, but I don't feel in big games he will be on the court that much.

I stand by... "hes not a 3" though. I think with his frame he plays college basketball at like 6'8 220-230

I was mostly referring to the concept of getting mid-major guys that have produced at that level, often making their all-conference teams and sometimes conference POY type rather than just looking at potential that just hasn't panned out yet at any level.

2 of the players were on high major teams last year. His son and Enright, so we have a good idea of what we'll get from them next year, assuming 100% recovery from their injuries.

Parker Stewart, the supposed shooter from UT-Martin, was a Miller recruit. Both he and Woodson were poor at evaluating talent. It remains to be seen how good DeVries is at it.
