Initially I’d have agreed with you but when you look at how West Virginia played when Tucker was healthy they played 3 guards, Tucker, and Hansberry in the middle. Given that it wouldn’t surprise me if Bailey is our starting 5.

Hansberry as a reference is listed at 6’8” 240lbs.

and shot 3+ 3s per game and actually had a pretty high usage rate. That is NOT the type of player others have been mentioning in who will start at our 5 this coming year.

Bailey is more similar.

I think the ideal 5 will be someone who can block shots and has a high offensive rebound rate. I see this team putting up a ton of 3's

Off the bench, sure. That's just not the type of 5 he started last year at WVU.

by choice or by limitation?

I have no clue about that. They tried starting Andre in some games, but that did not continue throughout the season. I also don't think he'd want a 5 starting that isn't a perimeter threat, especially when it looks like Bailey+Conerway would start.

Bailey only took like 40 3s all of last year.

I do think his game on the perimeter is expanding (he at least showed that between SO and JR season), but still.

Rabby says that according to one phone call, Freeman might be leaning more towards Auburn or Tennessee. He then emphasizes that it was a single phone call and will try to find out more.

In another post, he says IU would have a very good chance at Briscoe if they decide to recruit him.

Nice trend here...

T. DeVries: 2X Missouri Valley Player of the Year

Conerway: Sun Belt Player of the Year

Wilkerson: 2X Conference USA First Team All-Conference

Bailey: A-10 First Team All-Conference

Somebody posted in one of the threads that Golden had a strategy of going after midmajor guys with great advanced metrics. Reading through our commits bios it occurred to me that CDD appears to be going after guys who were really productive at the mm level. Might be two sides of the same coin. But interesting nonetheless.
