Alex Chaikin. Supposedly we've been in contact. 3 years eligibility left.

Holy Matt Roth, Batman!

This is a catch n shooter.

Gotta admit … the super-swaggy floppy haired vibe is pretty damn fun.

If Malik Mack hits the portal I'd say he'll be starting for us next year. Time will tell. A small ball lineup would be very exciting imo.. Of course we'd still have to add a couple athletic bigs and wings for flexibility

1.Conerway

2. Mack

3. Wilkerson

4. Devries

5. Bailey

Not much to go from but seems like a baller. Especially for a Freshman.

The pg and center positions post covid year are going to be at a premium. The best fit for us right now would be Duke Brennan, and a back-up.

If you've seen Bailey and looked into the metrics with him you know he's not a big ten center. He's a nifty offensive player. He's smart and can facilitate your offense in a way that you don't necessarily need a true pg when he's out there. He takes a couple of threes a game, more to set up his drive game where he gets to the line a lot. He can't guard a fence post, opponent shot 60% on him last year, and he'll get beat up on the glass. 1.4 offreb/game. He's a unique skillet. I'd love Brzovic. But that's very unlikely. Brennan would be great.

Sisley can defend the paint and hit the glass Hardee at the 5. Maybe Enright as well.

On the topic of UK fans, someone was kind enough to reupload this old gem to YouTube.

So similar to the two bozos who sing "baddest of them all".

I share your concern, but here are our options:

A. Play a center with Devries and Bailey. (Which means Devries guards a wing)

B. Play a big wing with Devries and Bailey. (Which means Bailey guards a center)

C. Don't play Devries and Bailey together at all.

D. Play zone.

It's not gonna be option C. I doubt it's D. Maybe Devries is more athletic than I think and capable of guarding 3s full time. But if not, Bailey is going to have to play some center for those two to get on the court together.

I think he could also be a plus defender with a good defensive scheme.

Haven't really watched much tape on him. Is he a 3? He is listed as a guard, but even for the Big Ten, he would be massive.

Has some guard skills — can shoot, good handle for his size, some pick and roll reps as a handler. Probably a 3/4 who can slide to some 2 or defend opposing guards.

PG - Starter/Entight

SG - Wilkerson

SF - DeVries/Sisley

PF -

C - Bailey

Let’s add to this as players get added so it’s easier for us to track

If Bailey is IU's starting/primary Center, I will be: A) Surprised B) Concerned defensively

He's not unfortunately. He can do it for short stretches and he's not absolutely terrible on defense, he's just not quick enough to guard most 3's. DeVries is good for guarding stretch 4's.
