Unless things drastically change, we will be having this discussion for quite some time. So, in your opinion what does Woody need to do in the next year to keep his job beyond year 4?

Year 1: 21-14 (9-11) Round of 64

Year 2: 23-12 (12-8) Round 32

Year 3: 14-10 (6-7) TBD (kinda)

Year 4: ??

Kenpom (offense/defense)

Year 1: 48 (95/24)

Year 2: 30 (28/45)

Year 3: 97 (108/92)

Year 4: ??

Hasn't signed a single high school player from Indiana during his tenure (CJ Gunn was already committed).

Hasn't signed a guard in 27 months.

Make the 2025 tourney, don't get bounced 1st round.

Preferably be top 4-5 team in Big 10.

Any worse and we should be looking elaewhere.

Major roster changes and second weekend of the NCAA tournament...with any luck under new coaching staff cause Woodson ain't the guy.

25+ wins. Sweet 16 or better. Multiple top 60 recruits committed by the end of the season. And, most importantly, I total overhaul of his play style. I cannot deal with the ugly *** style that his teams play. Even the wins feel like total grinds the vast majority of the time. Give us something aesthetically pleasing (and that kids will actually want to play in).

Since the question is not what I would want but realistically what he would need to do to maintain employment at IU, I would say:

-make tourney

-have a couple top 100 recruits signed

-desire to come back for year 5

Very little chance, he’s fired if he hits those benchmarks.

You’re probably right, but wow that would be very underwhelming.

As long as we win our last game of the season I’ll be happy.

Be careful what you wish for. This could mean that we are sub 500 and don't qualify for the new Big Ten Tournament but happen to win our last game of the regular season.
