Exactly.  It is not about being correct.  It is about clicks.

And it takes no preparation to just say something...anything...especially if it is contrary.

Mark Twain said something like: It takes no preparation to be opposed.

To borrow a bit from the investment world: don't get fooled by the dead cat bounce. MSU is a perfect matchup for Woody's flawed system - they can't shoot and their bigs are suspect. Any team that can shoot decently - decently, not well - will chew IU up just as they have all season.

But I agree but I still think we should play more zone the rest of the year.

On field of 68 last night after the win, Jeff Goodman:

“Woody hasn’t actually publicly announced that he’s stepping down at the end of the year. So does he backtrack on something that he never really said? Indiana put out a statement, but who knows..”   hahaha

No Jeff…..just…...no…

Because he won a game? bwahaha

Looks like they have lost 3 of 4 now and have some tough road games coming up
Would not be surprised if they end up with 7 or 8 big ten losses. Either way Woodson is telling dolson tonight Mike woodon retires when Mike woodson says so.

First, I know this is still the Fire Mike Woodson thread...

With that said, would be nice of the schtick could be put to rest. The goal has been accomplished. Woodson won't be back next year.

Does it really matter if he does/doesn't do the pre/post game interviews? What's he gonna say that has any value.

Does  it really matter that he's being allowed to coach out the season? From the scenes I saw in the locker room after last night's game, the players still are with him. So what, he's pissed people off. Making a big deal out of it only draws more attention. Would you rather the balloon be popped, or just slowly leak away to nothing?

Let these guys play out the season. If they go on a run, good for the players. One of the big criticisms here has been about not being in the tournament, and how empty that feels. So let them play it out. If they string together some wins, and make the big dance, that will be a testament to the players. Regardless of how the media portrays it, we know it would be on the players, not due to some great coaching.

Just don't see the need to constantly drone on with the same stuff. Mission accomplished. Time for forward thinking. Time to look towards the future.

Yes, if MSU was a better 3pt shooting team, they would have won by 20+. We have shown all season we can’t guard the 30th line and the zone only magnifies that if the other team can hit a decent percent.

I have been boycotting the games since B4A  and do watch scores ,I see they won I figured they would win at least one more .I won't feel its over until  Woodson is seen leaving with a moving truck ,and his name is off the door .  Liked that Michigan beat Purdon't .

Pretty sure nobody's making you look at this thread.

Blah, blah blah...doesn't hurt my feelings at all.

Why doesn't someone just create a checklist of all the tired bromides so that when someone wants to vent, they can just check the box. Would save them typing stuff out.

Let's see...

-Woody's cooking

-Cigar and wine comment

-Won't do the radio shows

-Any comment about Buckner, Ferguson et al

-Lazy recruiter

-Tee times

-True fans

-Mike Woodson in the 3rd person comments

-Tarnished legacy

-Age

Point being, there is nothing else to be said. This thread is just full of a bunch of bitter posters who keep regurgitating the same stuff and feed off each other. And yes, I can choose to ignore the thread. Unfortunately, there are sometimes morsels about the next coach that get posted here, so to keep up, one has to wade through all the complaints to find the worthwhile posts.

That all sounds nice and I do understand the sentiment.

But it is unrealistic.  Woody has done too much to put this program behind and IMO he deserves for this to carry on until his office is cleaned out and his name is no longer listed as the Head Coach of Indiana.  And besides that, fans here deserve a place to continue to vent about the things that go on while we wait for a new coach.

The poster is basically saying support Woodson and go ra rah. Far too much damage has been done by Woodson and his total arrogance for me to ever support him. If some want to go rah rah Woodson they can. But I'm not supporting a guy like him. I mean he wanted another year because he "loves iu". Lol

I never got peacock thank god so I miss all these Tuesday games. I watched mcneely score 38 points instead last night. I may watch a few minutes Friday but for the most part I don't watch anymore. Season has been over for awhile for me.

Nope, not saying anything about supporting Woodson. Am saying that the team has a chance to make this season worthwhile . Get behind the players..

We have Peacock  we got it for football and then just stayed on . Up until this season I would have watched the game just can't watch on purpose ,did see them when they played a team which someone else had on ,just watching how bad they were and how good the other team was  was like night and day  .

Thank you.. fans have devoted time and $ and have endured a crap product on the floor by a "coach" who cares more about the title rather than doing the work.. if fans still want to vent and talk crap about Woody, it's well deserved IMO...

In other words -- it hurts your feelings.
