He’s definitely was full of himself but now he got a big taste of humble pie!
And the school has never bent over backwards as much with resources to try and get someone to succeed. That really shows how bad he was. Theydid everything possible for him and he still failed.

Hey Mods not to be a persnickety lawyer-anal type but the thread title "They" retired -

I mean, is Woodson now taking on multiple identities? I mean that might explain a few things....

Woody got retired by them.

After the season tanked, Woodson decided to make some changes to try salvaging the season.

  1. Limiting the 2 bigs lineup
  2. Got rid of the mass second team substitution
  3. Shortened his bench
  4. Began playing Leal, a 5th year senior that was one of our better glue guys, more minutes.
  5. He hasn't religiously stuck to the 2 first half fouls benching

A lot of posters on this board have been asking for these changes.  It just took a coach making 4 million a year a little while to figure out something that educated fans have been saying for a while.  Enjoy retirement Mike Woodson!

Yep!  Some of these things have been going on for 4 years.

undeservedly way too much.  It’s like the guy walks on water.  Honestly, what has he done lately to deserve this royal treatment?  He played over 40 years ago, majority of the fans probably didn’t even know who he was before he started coaching here.  Mike Woodson who?

This is in the coaching candidate thread, but Trilly said Dolson is working to repair AAU/HS coach relationships in Indiana.  The Woody White Knights can spare me their narrative about how we should support Woody now that he was fired.  Not only was he a bad coach that divided the fanbase with his pathetic narratives, he also damaged IUBB recruiting.  What a guy!  And I bet he does more damage on his way out too.

What kills me is he has stated many times over that he loves Indiana. It’s almost like he’s got this chip on his shoulder for IU for some reason.  He’s done so much damage that it will take us years to repair.

Yea.  It's pretty darn clear he does not love Indiana.  He loves Mike Woodson and Mike Woodson having a high paying and prestigious job.  Now that Indiana is no longer going to give him that, it appears he actually has contempt for IU and I think we're going to see more of that on his way out.  I'm still surprised how pathetic he is.

I actually think the contempt was there even before he took the job, maybe getting passed over before and that’s when it started but it’s freaking obvious that MW only loves MW.  He really thinks highly of himself, that’s for sure!  I say good riddance to bad rubbish!!!!
