He is so bad. Can't wait to hear this clown explain his 25 point loss on Tuesday. If he cared about his legacy he should never have taken this job. His legacy is now destroyed for good

I think we will lose by double digits, but not 25, Woodson won’t allow that to happen again, even if he has to suit up himself.  That way he’s actually making shots for them, lol

Completely agree.

Extremely weak move by Mike, enabled by Quinn and allowed by Dolson. Clown show at the moment lol. New coach will change everything, just like football.

Typical move by the King... more low/no class move... beyond disgusting entitlement on his part... you got the $20M, answer some questions, you turd.

Gotta disagree. Dolson and IU cant force Woodson to answer questions and really who gives a sh*t.

What did they expect to hear, "Dolson fired me but I am pretending to retire?"

I can write his response had he given one, "I am stepping down as IU's HC effective the end of the season. My goal when I got here was to get the program back headed in the right direction , and I have accomplished that goal. We've made multiple tournament appearances and have established a top NIL program that rivals any in college basketball.  I  informed Scott Dolson earlier this week of my plans to allow him the advantage of preparing for the future. I intend on continuing on coaching  these broken hearted fellas and getting them over the hump very soon."

OK, maybe not the  last sentence. But all that was missed out on was canned BS.

Yeah, it's not even about what he would say though. It's about him obviously being so sensitive he can't even acknowledge the reality of the situation and speak to reporters about it in a composed way yet and needing to be protected from questions as a result

I don’t know what you do for a living, but if you are not a speech writer, You actually missed your calling!  That was spot on, even the last sentence

Expecting Woodson to man up ever. What's that old expression about the definition of insanity?

He is so pathetic. He says he is stepping down but his feelings are hurt. Why would your feelings be hurt if you are leaving on your own terms? He isn't fooling anyone. What would be really comical is if our new coach next year took us to an elite 8. I would laugh so hard at the king.

That's the thing. I'm pretty damned old and I don't even remember Woodson the player.

At this point, the overwhelming majority of our fans don't either. They only know Woodson as the thin-skinned, ego-maniacal, underachieving coach that we see today.

Dream no more job!  He all wanted us to worship him and his NBA or B10 title ring!  Now he can kiss all of our butts!

Take from someone who watched play, freaking well said!  I don’t even remember Jack crap about him, other than I vaguely remember him coming back from back surgery and carry us to a B10 title, but I don’t remember any specific game or his play.

No, they can't make him answer the questions.. neither should they be protecting him. Woodson's been protected from the mean old world for FOUR YEARS by Buckner et al. Time to make him face the music... so he doesn't actually answer any questions... but the time for coddling his massive ego and sensitive feelings is over.

Woodson did WRONGLY “ answer an important question:  “were just not the same team as were earlier.” (winning close games against low level teams).
