Michigan is going to lock up may after the season with a massive raise. Meanwhile Mike woodson gets 4 years and 6 million because archie got 4 years. Is it any wonder our program is in the toilet.

They will try but “IF” IU pursues him and he wants to come here he won’t sign it

But was JHS given the freedom or was it more no alternative because X was injured?

Probably some of both. Put a lot of trust in a freshman who had not played pg at that level. As time wore on he developed plays for JHS to create opportunities for him to shoot or dish to TJD. He also pulled Race out away from the basket to give Schifino more space

The big if....but we got a guy just doing his job with unlimited money people cutting him huge checks. They clearly love him.

That troll AH was on here a few weeks back clowning May for his late-game management.
Meanwhile he’s got UM ranked and with the highest NET of any team in the B1G…the latter which I imagine Woody has never done for us.
We messed up massively not grabbing May.
Of course we did, but that's the iu way. Instead we are stuck with a king

Mike Woodson, the current Indiana University basketball coach, has recently stated that "there shouldn't be anything floating around about my job, I've done my job," essentially asserting that he believes he has fulfilled his responsibilities as coach despite recent struggles with the team; this is often summarized as "I did my job" when referring to his coaching performance.

Yea, I have come around to believing there is essentially no way this isn't his last season (all hail @Stuhoo for the steadfast leadership on that front lol), but anyone thinking he resigns is living in fantasyland. Mike Woodson is not resigning, and almost certainly is not getting fired midseason (and personally I see no real advantage to midseason). He will be gone after we lose in the BTT. Still would not be surprised if it is an ugly divorce, but hopefully he retires and we all move on.

Advantage to mid-season is a chance to salvage the season. Gives the world notice and us time to select the right coach. No chance of hurting any current players progress because no player is currently playing well

I’ve completely stopped watching IU basketball and won’t support the program for as long as Mike Woodson is the coach. He’s so pathetic and the fact we’ve had to put up with him for 4 years shows how unserious we are. I can’t wait for him to get fired. I am looking forward to the next hire and having someone new at the helm. Who would be our realistic candidates? Micah Shrewsberry, Mick Cronin, Chris Mack? Who else

It will be ugly unless they pay him an absolute fortune to leave. He is just doing his job in his mind. By the way the this team is so much better without MR crew sure is quiet today

This will be interesting. If Indiana is sputtering and Michigan is rolling coming into this game the chatter will be much louder not just about Woody being fired but about IU needing to specifically pursue May.

if that comes to fruition, I could see Woody playing hooky that day

Why? Mike Woodson is doing Mike Woodson’s job

May as well, we've already seen him get ejected while getting curb stomped by Nebraska so he could get out of dodge.

Not like this team would be hurt much without him "coaching".

So you’re saying he might have a case of the Mike Davis Flu?

Also gives a chance to pull an Ohio. This season does not need salvaging, it needs surviving. While I agree on the fundamental picture it paints about getting serious about BBall again, I just do not think the upside outweighs the downside. If Calbert took over and won a decent clip and changed how we look and got us into to the tournament there would be a large contingent of people that would want him to get the full time job-- Let me preface with I would take a chance on Cal over Woody for the record, but what IU needs is for Dolson to be able to conduct a full coaching search without a bunch of noise about the interim guy. Cal winning a few games and getting the HC job because of it would be classic IU behavior, and I do not wanna risk it.

I still have it bookmarked from last time. AD’s are much better at hiding it these days.

Yea you can pay to have your tail number hidden on flightaware and flightradar or just fly VFR until out of airspace and pick of IFR later. It is still fun watch for KBOS or KBED as a destination from Btown though lol
