Seven seed means he is doing his job.

Wow ... your opinion of Coach Woodson has taken a serious turn toward optimism and cutting him lots of slack. I don't think a seven seed is "doing his job" and I'm surprised that you do.

I think that doing is job is assembling an excellent, balanced roster, contending for conference titles, and giving us a chance to do serious damage in the tournament.

Yes but I've seen people say that on twitter

Then make your case or argue with them about that on twitter.  It always seems silly for people to bring some outlandish take to this board with the defense of I saw this on twitter or FB or...  Unless it is a prominent person making that claim, it does not impact the discussions we have here.  You can pretty much find stupid takes anywhere and usually should be ignored.

Hence, about most things in FB and twitter.

Not sure why this season would be when the rubber meets the road. He’s going into his fourth year of coaching college ball and has underperformed his first three. If he meets expectations I’m not sure what would change about the first three. If he over performs while getting the talented pieces to play at a level greater than the individual pieces it would have me interested if he was 10-15 years younger.

We’re playing not to lose with our coaching decisions instead of playing to win.

Because he has arguably not had a complete and deep roster either due to not having certain personnel or injuries, at least that’s the way he’s probably spinning to Dolson and the board of trustees.  With this roster that he’s assembled, he has no excuses, IMO

If his performance isn't up to snuff he will have excuses.  "Young team, new faces that need to gel with each other so we can get over the hump...."

That is like the sun rising every day.

That’s true!  I’m just tired of the excuses myself!  I want to see results!

Year 3 for sure, but you think the next coach will do better that Woody and the team did his 1st and 2nd year?  If so, who do you think brings instant success?
