I don't reply to him anymore. At this point it seems more like he's trolling than  actually seriously pushing Facial Hair because there's 0% chance he gets hired.

I actually think he is DD and said that to him a few weeks ago. Then I just ignored him.

Just saying, if Caitlin Clark was on the IU men’s team, she would be the lowest level walk-on in the history of the program.

The hyperbole is getting extreme ‘round here.

I was certainly saying that tongue and cheek....it's just frustrating seeing IU in the 10th year of their shooting slump.

Can we all agree...Caitlin could certainly run the table in HORSE against any of our current players? :)

This will be the 4th program he’s taken to the tournament in 8 years. That’s one more than IU’s been altogether in the same time frame.

Sorry, @Class of '66 Old Fart (last time, I promise)

 End of discussion.

My man, I'm not justifying anything or anyone in the post. I'm saying people are flawed and we aren't going to find a perfect coach. We also looked past all of Knight's flaws because he won games. Lastly, a point that some are far worse than others, which is another point I was trying to make. No need to go to confession over it; there's no condoning of any behavior.

I am not a man first of all.

Paid JUCO kids for years to get where Gonzaga is now. Also tried to drop the “do you know who I am” card after his DUI arrest last year. Theres a lot less good college basketball coaches than there are perfect people in this world. Trying to find both leads to a lot of double-digit losses.

He's complicit in Zag boosters buying top tier talent out of high school. NIL wasn't great for Few and his bagmen as it put other programs on more equal footing in terms of buying commitments.

Yep, you search out the previous generation of winners, you find the best programs at bending the rules in their favor. The saying “if you aren’t cheating, you aren’t trying” applies to college football/basketball as much or more than anywhere else.

That’s what makes Brad Stevens, Matt Painter currently and a few others so impressive.

Do you ever pay attention to college basketball besides IU. When was the last hire where a top power 5 conference coach left for another top power 5 conference job.

Did Duke and UNC both act like Blue Bloods when they hired an assistant coach with no HC experience. How about Syracuse or Villanova. UCONN hired a coach from Rhode Island

All the schools you mentioned are, in fact, Blue Bloods that all had tremendous momentum/consistent winning. This will probably upset you but IU isn't. No one outside Indiana cares about our banners, especially 18 year old recruits. Just bc we have 5 banners hanging does not cement our status as a Blue Blood.

UNC, Duke and Cuse hired from within and it worked for them (not really Cuse) and honestly, I'd rather see Jordan Hulls in charge over Mike Woodson. Nova is 11-10 and went to the NIT last year. UCONN is killing it - can't deny that. We've tried an IU guy and it's failed. We don't have the momentum they all had. The only time we did was before we fired Crean and we hired Archie freaking Miller. Momentum is how you build something and keep the recruits coming consistently. You can't keep swinging, missing and hiring a new guy every 2-3 years. You just can't.

Time to ditch the losing mentality and get a proven winner. Had hope for Woody and it looked good for a minute but the truth is he was never it.

I read a quote a few years ago that you reminded me of it; 9 out of 10 teams cheat, the one that's not is in last place.

If that is the case why do you believe we should get top coaches from power 5 conferences.

Woody has this mental block with his defense. I just don’t understand why he can’t see that it’s not working.  Teach it in practice but not in game.  Play f’ing zone!  Can’t wait to see Cupps switch to Eddy!  Lol. The zone beat U of L!  Im pissed we let a bad team come into our house, drop 50 pts in the second half and beat us.  No, not us.  They beat WOODY!  Jordan and Calbert must be biting their cheeks.  The rest of the bunch are useless.  Go to auburn with a blank check!
