He doesn’t want to discuss it because he knows it absolutely tubed the momentum on the road.  And it has for multiple games.

I somewhat sympathize given our bench and X’s injury history. But we go 5-6min straight of comical lineups that have no chance. And he knows they have no chance because he never goes back to them in the second half.

It’s because they’re soft and don’t care. Frankly, A joyless bunch.

I totally see that at times too. But I also see moments of kids caring a hell of a lot. Malik cares so much he could cry half the time lol.

I think they want it in their own way, maybe, but they just don't look like a team at all... I bet you finish near the bottom of conf in assists

I thought when X got kicked out that could be a turning point for this season.... for about maybe 3 minutes. That we'd rally to overcome this obvious attempt at screwing us over and play our hearts out to win a tough victory on the road without XJ like we've had to do so much of this season already. That CJ would show more potential, Gallo/Mack/Ware would turn it up and they'd show real focus.

They were a really cool 3 minutes... it was great in my head, while it lasted anyway...

That somehow pisses me off even more. You're too good to give an explanation to us peons who all can collectively see the error in your ways? GTFOH!

Remember when I said Johnson should be seen as depth but not a fix to anything? Tonight is why. Even when healthy he is way too inconsistent to be counted on.

At his best he’s an all conf pg. At his worst he can single handily lose you a game. It’s why he’s so polarizing.

Out of all the positions on the court pg needs to be the most steady for continual success.

What could have been if Knight offered Painter instead of Leary. IU was Painter’s favorite school and would have walk over broken glass and hot coals to Bloomington.

There’s plenty of other coaches out there better than Painter that would pick up the phone if we actually called.

Don’t think we would’ve cared for all the early tournament flameouts.

I think our fans would be very understanding of being a 1 seed and losing to FDU, or a 3 seed losing to St Peters, or losing to North Texas etc. LOL

I’ll give him a lot of credit for how they play, and 8 straight trips to the tourney, but this board would have melted with those tourney losses.

I’d just like to have the chance to even have those melt downs haha

He's got the physical tools, but mentally he doesn't.

Not sure there’s been a player in the history of college basketball who has built more hype over a 3 game, 3 day stretch than Xavier Johnson. He’s been a net negative for almost the entirety of his 2.5 years here.

I just don't understand how we are so tall/long and unable to rebound? I actually don't get it.

Our starting lineup looked wayyy bigger than theirs. Just zero boxing out. It's grammar school girl's team level bad at times.

Ware did not have his best game.... at all. Reneau is definitely a guy but he still has sooo much room to grow. Honestly we can still pull off a streak but this team has given me no reason to believe they will do anything other than more of the same the rest of this conference season. Probably miss the tourney. Only reason to be optimistic next year is if you can delude yourself into believing we retain all of Ware, Mack, and Reneau IMO. And that seems very unlikely.

Where the hell are they going.   NBA my a$$.  Maybe some frat team.
