Indiana vs. Harvard- Sunday 11/26 @ 4:30 PM on BTN

Recommended Posts

Mbako seemed to play harder tonight and that helped him get into an offensive rhythm. He’s still pretty lost on defense, but some of that can be offset with hustle plays—grabbing loose balls, tracking down o-rebounds, etc…—which he made several of tonight.

Additionally, I liked how he, Cupps, Banks and to a lesser extent Reneau (because i expect it out of him) responded to Johnson going out.

Big sigh of relief on MM. 18 and 8

Ware continues to be a beast.

Walker will continue to contribute.

Wish we had a guard.

Agree.
You mention Walker and, after a couple of WTF games, it was good to see him get 9 points on 3-4 shooting and 4 boards.

Guard depth seems worse because our starting 2 gives almost no production

And our starting 1 is often dinged up. And our backup 2 didn’t make a monumental leap into a rotation guy. And our backup 1 is a 100-ish ranked freshman who plays like it at times.

Not shaking the bush for a combo guard in the portal was a big miss this offseason. But…what can ya do?

Defense still has a ways to go. Backcourt leaves a lot to be desired.

If Ware, Mack, and Reneau play like that on offense most nights, we will be tough to beat.

Harvard is an above average team. We got it done despite X being injured/out in the second half and Malik not 100%.

A lot to like. A long way to go.

Of Malik’s 5 assists, the first lob to ware in the lane for the easy dunk to break the zone was pretty. That was often there for the taking. Hope to see more of that

I think 3 of his assists were lobs to Ware. Reneau is a good passer when facing up. With his back to the basket and a double coming…not so much. If he fixes that he could really make the ball move for this team.
