Can’t shoot the ball.  Hard to comeback or extend leads when you have no snipers.   Sucks.

I’ll admit, I’m jealous of winning programs. We just aren’t it. And maybe never will be.
Really beginning to believe that.

Gotta make the right hire. Kansas did it. UNC did it with Williams. Kentucky did it. It's all about making the right hire. I think Woody is good for healing some wounds between past and present, but as far as leading us back into the top tier... Don't think he's got the chops to do it. Which is why I only expected him to be around for 4-5 years at most.

We got smoked last year by Arizona and Kansas but still made the tourney.
I’m not throwing in the towel but I don’t think our ceiling is real high. We are just not elite at the 1,2 or 3.
Yes we did. We also looked alot better in our other games. These guys don't look good at all. Hopefully they figure it out

I do not see it happening. I am not sure we make nit. Strong take but I am not impressed. Really hopeful I am wrong

The staff built this team, they own it 100%.  Missing the tournament would be bad for momentum, not making the NIT? Then there would have to be some accountability for that, beyond unacceptable.

So much for being concerned if XJ will play. Non factor. More often than not. So far.

We really needed the end of the season X, from 2 years ago, to continue that type of play. He was great but unfortunately those 8-10 games are looking like an anomaly.

As long as he does it.... It will start to come when it matters. He's going to be one that has to step up this season.

What’s funny is…he didn’t do his max vertical jump on the one after the whistle. Form looked great, good elevation, and it went in…during the game, he fades and jumps to the rafters. It’s mind boggling no one is correcting that.

Why is anyone surprised by this rout? We are a bad team. Maybe the sunshine pumpers will finally realize that in Woodson’s 3rd year we ain’t looking good.

The reality is that we lost a ton and didn’t bring in enough to make up for it. And that was from an above average but not great IU team last year. We’re in for a rough season. Our outside shooting is utterly nonexistent, which is not how you want to play in 2023. We’re very weak on the perimeter. We heard so much about how Woodson doesn’t like playing with multiple big guys but was forced to do so with Trayce/Race. Well, neither are here anymore yet our frontcourt is still our only positive.

If we get beat by Louisville tomorrow then I'll be concerned. Need to run play to get Mgbako shot. Everything they run is to get the post open and the guards can't get themselves open

I said losing by 25 with X so I was close.

I had us losing by 23. I’ve seen IU a couple of times at the Garden, and once in Brooklyn, but there was no way I was going to spend the hotel/train/ticket/bar cash for this one.

Yeah, I don’t get it.  Woodson has coached at the highest level and been around basketball his whole life.  We have 5 stars and talent.  We don’t have any shooters but that was by our staff’s design.  We just aren’t even contenders.   I am not sure what it will take.  Shooters would help.  Modern basketball would help. Good basketball IQ would help. And if this game didn’t prove it to anyone, Reneau is our most important and likely best player.  He plays hard.  We need a few guard versions of him.

He says that but that's the roster he put together.

I agree that losing to Louisville would be a very bad sign.
