I caught Jakai workout when he first started doing non-contact stuff. First thing I can say is he's a really good young man. I thought Keith Smart at 220 with a 6'10" wingspan. I'm pulling really hard for this guy. I still think if we redshirted Cupps this year next year they'd both be sophomores with Tucker.

Ran into an old friend directly affiliated with Indiana Elite this weekend and asked him for an honest opinion on where he thinks the 17U trio is going to end up.

Mullins---Indiana. Dad is loving the recruiting process and being the center of attention, but says Braylon is a momma's boy and going out of state is likely to be the deal breaker.

Moreno--His gut says Kentucky. Kentucky has two blue chip in-state recruits this year and one of them is going to end up at UNC/Alabama. The optics of losing a 2nd (Moreno) are not good. Says UK will pull out all the stops to keep him home.

Sisley--was surprised by this but said ND or Michigan State. Says Trent isn't as high on Indiana as people want to believe. His family, especially his dad, aren't thrilled with the idea of him going to Purdue and ND or MSU is a compromise.

The Sisley thing would certainly explain why they spent the entire weekend on Ament. That, and the kid’s a Pro.

And Reibe coming back into play means (no surprise) that while we have a solid shot with Moreno, he's no sure thing.

Interesting that we don't appear to be pushing hard for any alternate option SG.

I've never been as high on Sisley as some others have been. If he wasn't a Southern IN kid I wouldn't particularly care if we recruited him or not. Was told by the same person that IU has a great shot at Haralson if he does indeed play in college. Sounds like OTE could be on the table.

I think the staff is going to go all-in on Harlason and Mullins. Would be surprised if we don't get at least one.

Since everyone would like to fabricate their own stories; allow me to set things straight.

 

The narrative that Mullins isn’t a fan of Woodson couldn’t be the furthest thing from the truth. 

It’s been known publicly since the beginning of this recruitment that Coach Walsh is the primary contact here; Cd71 has clearly taken the opportunity to twist that into you all believing that he has some sort of inside information.

That is not the case.

Sorry to expose that here Mr. 71, but as you read what I have written here; you too are wondering why you took the time to write that meaningless post.

 

Now, with that being said, allow me to fill you all in on what is actually happening here.

 

If you’ve been following this recruitment, you know that there’s been a lot of talk of Woodson focusing in on the 3 of Mullins, Sisley and Moreno. 

 

As I’ve stated in previous posts, I’ve felt pretty confidently about his ability to make it happen.

 

Mullins hasn’t moved an inch.

With that being said, and based off of what I’ve heard; I believe that Sisley and Moreno comes down to the result of the OV that they all have coming up.

Moreno is undoubtedly the most on the fence, and I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if he ends up in Lexington.

As of now, I would be rather surprised if Sisley goes elsewhere.

 

Haralson isn’t happening.
