It would be a killer fit. Get Rourke for one year and then hopefully the highly regarded young QB takes over.

I just saw that announcement about Mendoza, so would agree Cherry will probably look elsewhere.

I'd say Cherry will probably look elsewhere, not that I had high hopes to begin with.

Mendoza has back to back state titles in 4M but looks like an unranked 3* on ESPN. Not the biggest QB.

Mendoza fits Coach Cig’s statements about preferring production over potential. Mendoza is undersized, but was super productive as a winner in high school.

I would hope he's not afraid of competition. As bad as this team was competition in practice can't be a bad thing.

That seems kind of weirdly phrased in the article. Is there a separate Mr Football for QB’s from other positions in Indiana?

They have a Mr. Football for every position and then they have a Mr. Football overall for the best player

There are position "Mr. Football's".... there will be a OL, DL, DB, etc. 

So, there is a separate one, just not for QBs only.

Pretty sure they have an overall Mr Football as well.  I could be wrong though
