Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 13, 2022 Author Posted April 13, 2022 Got some good news; got some bad news. Good news is UAA has posted individual stats for this past weekend's event. Bad news is not every game has been posted and the numbers posted for 3-point shooting are so ridiculous I chose not to input them in my spreadsheet. Demo Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 On 4/11/2022 at 2:02 PM, Class of '66 Old Fart said: Max Feldman of MadeHoops Bryson Tiller was the youngest prospect on the floor in each outing. The 6-8, 2025 forward played up with the 16U Atlanta Xpress group and was impactful on both ends. A fluid, well-built and at times, violent athlete who cleaned the glass and put pressure on the rim as a dive man and slasher. In terms of the upside discussion, Tiller flashed intriguing indicators controlling and handling in the pick and roll. The Pace Academy standout is a name to monitor atop the 2025 cycle that's already garnering buzz. Auburn, Xavier and Indiana have already offered. Tiller has no idea yet how good he is. When he figures out that he can dominate, whew, he will be one brutal matchup. lillurk 1 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 18, 2022 Author Posted April 18, 2022 Upcoming weekend is another evaluation period and always interesting to learn who we're keeping tabs on. EYBL will be in Indianapolis. Adidas is in Spartanburg, SC UAA at the Hy-Vee Arena in Kansas City, MO. Quote
Maedhros Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 I'm excited for the weekend, it's been a few years and will be good to be back at Grand Park. Found the schedule for EYBL, time to plan who I want to see: https://nikeeyb.com/eybl-schedule-2/ Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 22, 2022 Author Posted April 22, 2022 (edited) '24 Paul McNeil and Garner Road (16U) defeated Wildcats Select (16U) 85-83. McNeil had 26 pts and 7 reb. He hit 4 3s in the game. Playing on the Wildcats Select team was Jonathan Powell whose name was mentioned earlier this month as having IU interest. He scored 27 points with 5 3’s. Trent Markwith described him as 6'6" with a pure outside shot. Edited April 23, 2022 by Class of '66 Old Fart Added Powell Info Quote

Don't forget.. there might not be "someone to watch" in each time slot. Could simply just be watching a basketball game because he is just sitting there. AAU tourneys make for an interesting dynamic, sometimes. He very well maybe be watching someone from those teams, just not necessarily. BtownStrength and Class of '66 Old Fart 2 Quote

This means absolutely nothing but I've looked at the 17U and16U rosters for both teams and there weren't any names that jumped out at me as having previously been mentioned in connection with IU. Brookwood is a Canadian based team with almost it's entire roster made up of kids that attend schools in Canada. Southeast is a Florida based team. lillurk and BtownStrength 2 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 23, 2022 Author Posted April 23, 2022 One of our staff members watched Khani Rooths (New World) vs Team Loaded (VA) at the Adidas event earlier this morning. Also watched Wildcats Select vs Team Loaded (NC) Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 23, 2022 Author Posted April 23, 2022 Gabe Cupps - 11P 7A 2S in a 71-60 win for his AAU team. This from Trent Markwith - Indiana commit Gabe Cupps is one of the toughest, most heady players I’ve watched. Does so many things that don’t show up on the stat sheet, controls the game, and a great leader. 11 points & 7 assists in Midwest’s win at #3SSB Spartanburg today. Took 5 charges by my count too. hoosierbgh 1 Quote
