As far as I know we spoke to their agents and both said No. Big Ten is not a destination place anymore

Well I can't say the officiating is helping, can't say our uniforms or facilities are helping. Probably need a complete rebranding, plus mix in some newer talent.

Two Questions to ask:

Looking back in time, what would you have recommended IU do? never hire Archie, fire Crean sooner, keep Sampson?

What are you recommending IU do now to get the program to championship caliber?

Cant wait for next year when we have a 5 star freshman guard with zero post play. Gonna be worse than this year. So excited

Hopefully he can contribute, not all recruits pan out with their high rankings. A year of development with some of our young guys and maybe we’ll make a run in 2023-2024. Jesus that’s a long time.

TJD did not make a field goal after halftime and we’re worried if he comes back.

TJD with another game that he couldn’t decide if here was present or somewhere in lala land! I wanted to through my remote through the tv when he was in the middle of his free throw streak just smiling! What’s there to smile about? Make 1 more freebie and no overtime!

Stay the course. We have many good basketball minds around to figure this out. If not try again in a few years.

Lol this program is dead. Absolutely dead. Go root for something worthwhile while you can

That’s where either you don’t watch the games or just don’t know basketball but we always play better without him. Not surprised you haven’t seen that.

Says the guy that understood what this team was after me.  As I recall you were insulting me for predicting what we are seeing two weeks ago.

If Race was staying I might think we could do better without Trayce. But without either yeah next year is going to be tough

Indiana Basketball has a losing culture right now. It's been going on since 2016-2017. I remember reading about how Jordan Hulls (Mr. Basketball/State Champion) was sick and tired of losing that he went off on his teammates in the summer prior to the 2011-2012 year. Indiana brought in Cody Zeller (winner of 3 state championships/Mr. Basketball). They changed the culture along with Victor, Sheehey, and others. It didn't last long for various reasons (I still think Crean stopped recruiting the kind of kids that got him success). Who is going to be that guy for Indiana right now? I've been asking about it for 5 years.

I was excited for our transfers but my biggest worry was that none of them came from winning programs (Pitt, Northwestern, etc). Until IU can develop a winning culture, this is how it's going to be. I like the fight from this group. We haven't seen this kind of fight since probably Crean was coach. I don't think this team is uber talented either. Woody did a heck of a job getting them to a 16-5 record. However, all 5 of our consecutive losses were winnable games. Even Michigan State. A winning culture wins at least two or three of those games. I was at the Wisconsin game in person. I was SICK they lost that game. Just like I was sick to see Indiana fight back tonight and lose when they were up 4 with two minutes to go.

Any IU fan that is done with the program or has lost patience has every right to feel that way. That being said this program has to get guys that want to win. I know zero about our three incoming freshman, but they better want to win. Indiana needs to use the transfer portal and find guys who have NCAA Tournament experience. I watch a lot of UK because of my wife. They have talent but Kellan Grady is a huge reason why they're a national title contender. Came from a winning program at Davidson. Indiana needs to find someone like that for next year. I still think this team gets in the tournament but they'll be one and done. Woody has his flaws. I don't get his lineups and his late in game decisions. But I think any college coach deserves at least two years before we fully judge them.

Wasn’t wrong then, still not. Your a one trick pony. You can only do doom & gloom.

Yeah we’ll figure it out or you will still be here complaining and you will finally be correct

As they say, if ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas.

Still, I can't help but wonder where we'd be now had one of two things happened ...

1) We done a proper search after Davis' interim year and found -- whomever. Davis had a good season, and it might not have been good optics to let him go and it may not have been the "right" thing to do -- but it would've been the smart thing to do. He was a nice, decent man, but was in no way, shape or form, prepared to take on a job the magnitude of IU -- despite the FF (where he beat Sampson -- LOL). Hell, when he was a Knight assistant, he interviewed for the Delaware job -- and didn't get it.

2) We hired Beilein instead of Sampson. I'm pretty sure I read -- probably here -- that we had Beilein locked and loaded before Herbert stepped in and wanted Sampson hired. Of course later on, he denied that he ordered that -- but what else is he gonna say?
