I thought meatchicken was just running really good offense, the ball bouncing in their favor, and playing really good defense. Announcers commented multiple times about how it just seemed like Michigan had more energy and was trying harder. Quote

We seemed to me to celebrate that Purdue win a little too long. We were a step slow, looked like we had heavy feet. Michigan beat us to loose balls and was a step faster the whole game. Well meatchicken had plenty of time off like we did before the psu game earlier this season where we played with more energy and tried harder in that game. It's just one game, plus we have some players banged up and it was only a few days after most of these players felt the high of winning a big game. Hoosierfan2017 1 Quote

Should we just spot opponents 7, take the first 8 minutes of each half off the clock, and play some of the reserves? I wonder why this keeps happening and how we've been unable to change it. Quote

I mean if we're seeing it, then the coaches have to be seeing it also. Maybe it's just pride, or just too stubborn. HoosierAloha 1 Quote

This isn’t the first time this season where all we had to do was win and we would be ranked and we have wilted. Quote

I mean psu has a lot of talent playing on their home court with a raucous crowd that took us out of our game. They hit circus three after circus three for a crazy, astronomical percent from deep that we just couldn't do anything to defend. It's not our fault they got lucky or we would have been ranked. Quote

Purdue foul trouble and yesterday just dominated by Dickinson. I think that is rather obvious over the past 2+ years. He’s giving up 3-7 inches with some of them. I think anyone may have issues with them plus he maybe giving 20-40 lbs too. He is a power forward, that can’t shoot from outside of 6 feet, playing center. Quote

Yeah he had a wide-open jumper yesterday a couple of steps inside the free-throw lane and wouldn't take it. Quote

I noticed that! Wasn’t that one of the things he was supposed to work on on the off season? If he did, he must have decided he sucks at it and stopped working on it! It would do this team and him a lot of good if he could step out and hit some 15-18 footers, but the way he shoots free throws, he’s going to be worse at that with someone guarding him Quote

I almost wrote something very similar to this earlier. Really, in the NBA, his body is really more of a small forward. That's not great when you can't shoot. I really wonder why Woodson won't try Durr along side him. Heck, Durr can hit mid-range jumpers enough to pull the bigs away from the basket a little. Quote

coonhounds Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 I know for sure I have complained about the starters for every coach we have had since knight on a few occasions. Crean really baffled me sticking with certain guys a few times. I now take all those occasions back and if Woodson sticks with this starting lineup next game and we don't win the first 5 minutes this will be by far the worst case Sent from my SM-A326U using Tapatalk Quote
