HoosierAloha Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 How do we keep getting beat off the dribble so easily? Several of our wings aren’t great defenders because they lack lateral quickness. We have others that bend at the waist and reach instead of sliding. Once that gets straightened out, we can start focusing on pushing the ball handler to the help defense instead of just getting whipped. A guy who can knock down a 3 from just about anywhere at any time. We haven't had that in a really long while. Watching that Illinois-Purdue game and seeing Plummer and Stefanovic go off ... Having Race or Geronimo coming from the weak side is more desirable than Kopp. We did have some good ball movement that lead to open looks but not nearly enough of it.
