But we do need more than 2 guys trying to rebound. Definitely bounces playing a big part in the offensive rebounds allowed against Louisiana and against St John, just overall need to figure out how to limit second chances. Can't allow that type of number against the Big10 teams or a Purdue team with Williams and Edey. Quote
Loaded Chicken Sandwich Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 Personally I think Lander is going to be making us talk about him being a starter before the B1G season rolls around... I like Leal getting minutes as well. Whoozhers, Hoosierfan2017, FWHoosier84 and 1 other 4 Quote
HoosierTrav Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 Lander, Bates, and Hood-Schifino are going to be formidable. Hopefully we can get some frontcourt help this off-season. Hoosierfan2017 1 Quote

They'll probably dominate down low against other Sun Belt teams. Right now their big men look totally perplexed to have to play against our bigs. I'm looking forward to seeing Parker Stewart this half. He looked in rhythm for the first time in the first half. Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted November 22, 2021 Author Posted November 22, 2021 Just saw this -- Khristian Lander played 13 minutes all season before tonight. He played the final 13 minutes of the first half tonight. 6 PTS, 4 REB, 3 AST, 2 STL, 2 TO, +13 HoosierAloha, thebigweave, HoosierTrav and 3 others 6 Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 Really only two bad stats that half were our 12 turnovers (3 by X and 3 by Khristain) and allowing 11 offensive rebounds. Not shocked about the offensive rebounds considering the number of shots blocked. Quote
HoosierHoopster Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 On Lander, exactly what I’ve been looking forward to seeing — Reins off, gets the minutes, gets to show all the talent he has now with a college body and experience gained. tonight so far: 6 pts (2-2), 4 assists, 2 steals, 3 boards, in 13 min - 3 TO’s still an issue but 4 assists- game experience and in game coaching will get him there Whoozhers 1 Quote

But yes, definitely a very nice half. Quote
mamasa Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 The lineup changes feel smoother and natural. Leal got a huge reaction to his bucket FloridaHoosierGirl and kottke 2 Quote
