Eh, I mean the wrist injury didn’t help with the shooting. He was injured for the majority of his first two NBA seasons, but he’s playing rotation minutes (19 mpg) for the Celtics so far this year.  He hasn’t played like an all star, but being a rotational player on a playoff contender, especially at just 22 years of age, is something a lot of 5 stars never accomplish.

I’ll just always have love for Romeo despite the team being a disappointment that year. He got injured early in the season and could have shut it down like a lot of lottery picks would have, but he chose to tough it out and play. If Bates happens to be as good this year as freshman Romeo was then we’re in great shape. (Not that I expect him to be, or even that it’d be fair to expect him to be)
