Last year, not a single team in the Big Ten shot 40% from three.  Half were under 35%.  The last two years -- since the line was moved back -- NCAA teams have averaged under 34%.

I have no doubt we will be competitive this year. I just want us to compete for the B1G title. And not settle for something less. I don't think we're thinking like that, but I don't give a damn how we compare to the last 4 years. I care how we get a B1G title.

I think the main point here is we have no idea who shot the threes what kind of shots they were and what was the game situation when they shot them. This 3 percent is as meaningless as the 11 for 11 free throws. We don't know who shot the 11 free throws so it's pointless. All those things matter alot and is in know way any indication how we will do this season. Also the win is meaningless as well because we don't know what either team was doing? It's interesting and that is all. We can discuss but we can't make assumptions either way on how the team is going to do.

on a more serious note, I’m glad we took 23 3’s and made eight. Basketball might be fun to watch again. Let it fly, boys.
