I'll say this. IF it is Lewis I could see how it might take a week or so before it could announced after the UCLA season came to an end. Do to the end of season wrap up things that he would likely need to be a part of.

I still think it would be made known that Roberts was staying on as an assistant or DOBO. I really doubt they would just continue on without putting that out there as it will certainly be asked about/

Which is why I don't think Roberts is going to be the 3rd assistant - it would have been announced already. Also, if the plan is to keep him on in another capacity (DOBO?), I think announcing that now could prevent him from having any contact with recruits and potential transfers. Also, its certainly possible that Woody could be targeting some NBA assistants, which might need to be wait until after the season to be announced. In which case, keeping Roberts on as sort of an interim assistant makes a lot of sense.

Also, I'm sure that Roberts is free to leave for another job if he'd want to, but that IU could making it worth his while to take a demotion, at least this year while their is a lot of transition. I could see if him keeping his current salary if moved to DOBO

When DD interviewed Lewis on his radio show, Lewis did say that he was a "pretty popular guy" lately. So I'd imagine he's getting several offers coming in, from various places. Great for him!

There is no doubt he loves IU and always will, but from his own personal career choices, he has to consider going elsewhere if it's the best for him and his family.

And reading the tea leaves, the DOBO for the last 4 seasons, Brian Walsh (came with Archie from Dayton) is no longer listed as a staff member on the roster/coaching staff page. Not sure when he was removed (right when Woodson was added or maybe just in the last few days), but it might indicate that IU has a plan to replace him (Roberts)

Maybe they wait for a little while cause roberts was talking to someone in the portal. If they move him to dobo he wouldn’t be able to recruit

He was let go with Ostrom. They are currently moving out of Bloomington.

Spotted him on Facebook marketplace selling a massive amount of IU gear, so yeah he'll be replaced.

Sadly I'm too fat for any of his merch ..
