I'm an Ole Miss baseball fan and follow their boards and program closely. In Chris Beard's time in Oxford, he has not had a single alcohol event that has been reported. Oxford is an easy place to find alcohol, so it's not like he wouldn't have the opportunity.

Their fanbase's biggest concern is that he hasn't bought a house in town yet.

Lane Kiffin, Chris Beard, and Mike Bianco is a badass trio of coaches.

Agreed. Mike Bianco is not a very popular man though haha.

Here's an exercise I think I'm going to try to do:

Side by side comparison of 2 similar (resume wise) candidates. Just not sure what the best criteria to use are. Anyhow here are some of my combos and feel free to add on.

Stevens-Donovan

Drew-Few

McCollum-Schertz

Woodson-Turgeon (this one is a joke)

Byington-Devries

Gates-Collins

McCasland-Otzelberger

Stevens

Drew - Younger and more outgoing. I worry about Few's introverted personality and age. And, of course, the fact that he's coached in a mid-major for years.

McCollum - I wouldn't be unhappy with this choice.

Turgeon (this one is a joke) - ABW - Anyone but Woody

Byington - Love Devries, but I find Byington really intriguing. Not ready for a job like IU, but I think he's going to be great.

Collins - Can't ignore Gates' awful season.

Otzelberger - Otz is my choice after Stevens. He's young and has done a great job at a tough place to win big.

Somebody will take the risk. They took the risks on pitino and sampson and they both now have top ten teams

Lots of agent stuff flying around right now. Lots of people in IU circles are saying different names and some are saying different candidates are done. Scott has hired like 5 different coaches in the last week if you listen to every single rumor.

Dolson master class...

He's the built the program single handedly. No question about that. He's been a bit slow to adapt to the NIL fundraising needed to compete in the SEC in baseball.

Only because he went to the NBA before he could compile some truly insane numbers.

Agreed although I'd contend those tournament #'s are insane lol

The question is….Where was SD the day BS was in South Bend?

Another: where was he during our west coast swing?

Under .600 in P4 conferences for his career? Facial Hair is so overrated based on the 2 seasons at TT he's been unable to come close to replicating. He sure knows how to pad his season win percentages in the nonconference, though.

I don't believe IU will hire him.

Wasn’t checking for him at the scorers’ tables on the broadcast. Was he not along for the trip?
