Hey, look at the bright side jers, worst case we will know how Ohio State felt for thirty f***** years lol.

And somehow it almost worse (pending how successful he is when it’s all said and done) because he’s a friggin alum and basketball manager for Bobby Knight for Christmas sake. In ANY normal performance driven workplace Woodson would’ve been exited last year and we’d be probably sitting in first place in the conference right now basking in the glory of our new HC. They need to win me back at this rate

Even if they don’t, why would you leave that program where you’re building a winner to come to this train wreck?
They are going to offer him a ton. Highly unlikely he leaves. I think we get Cronin.

Well that’s a very good question but DM and his families heart is in Bloomington and he thinks he can do exactly the same thing he’s done at UM with a better NIL.  Until he signs the paperwork, I still think we have a chance

They can try... they can draw up and extension and ask him to sign... but the tell will obviously be what Dusty does... he has a contract with UM, so he doesn't need to be in a hurry to re-up, especially if he truly is interested in the IU job...

Exactly this!

That’s the one thing giving me some marginal hope if Dusty is a no. Dolson and company don’t wanna hear “Come Home Dusty!” Chants once a year in perpetuity.

I feel the same.  If this hire is a flop I’m happy to just focus on football like I have for over a year now.  We have real coaches and leaders there worth supporting, plus it’s by far the biggest college sport as we know.  Soccer, baseball, WBB are cool too.

The problem was, it was the wrong IU guy.  I am not saying any of them would have been the right hire but if they were he** bent on hiring an IU guy it should have been someone who had D1 college basketball experience, not some doofus, arrogant, egotistical a**hole from the NBA
Be careful what you wish for just don't say an iu guy or this is what happens. It get a crap coach and you lose put on dusty.

That’s the day BS announcement to IU is going to happen.  I’ve got to see it to believe it.  I still think we have a better shot at landing DM than BS

I see, going to be be long 2 weeks….but I do some good rumors to satisfy my hunger

Does anyone else think the BB All Star weekend is super boring?
Didn't even know it was going to be on. NBA is just a garbage product all together, it's really worth watching. Not much different than going down to the local park and watching

Yep that is where my IU rooting interests and support will have to primarily go. I’ll support football NIL and go to an away / home game a year instead of basketball until they start winning. There’s too much good CBB out there to let IU’s suckage ruin the sport for me. I’ve had a blast following UConn closely as a Hurley fan the past few years. Got season tickets to Princeton after their sweet 16 run for $39 lol. I like watching Duke and SHU with Holloway. It’s fun to cheer for / follow some secondary schools in basketball for me since chef Woody has been serving total slop the past two seasons. I hope to watch IUBB with some excitement again soon.

I hear you, Jersey... between the Buckner crew and Woodson's epic failure as a coach, I am almost out on IU basketball... I have actively rooted for them to lose for the past two seasons...

It would be one thing if Woodson had actually tried to do the job... but he didn't. He phoned in every phase of the job and then called out the fanbase who dared to question his performance. And Buckner continued to enable him at every turn to the detriment of the basketball program ... all because they were buddies and he had the weight to do it.

I pray to the basketball gods that there is a path out of this abyss and that Dolson is able to find it... but the more I look at the situation and all of the tangential items, I get more and more pissed.

No, I am not saying that.  At the time they hired Woodson is what I was talking about.  We need to get away from that altogether unless you consider DM or CB from the RMK coaching tree, lol
