I’m so far out of the loop, I don’t believe anything until it happens. But I’m also not out here pissing on people’s parade. You’re the guy in the movie theater loudly saying that the stunts aren’t real. Walking up to the salvation army Santa telling them they aren’t the real Santa. If you get your self worth out of being the “Acksually” guy, knock yourself out. And you wonder why no one asked you to the VH tribute band tomorrow night…..

An ounce of common sense, not to mention any semblance of optics, made it pretty clear Brad Stevens wasn’t going to be the next coach.

1. Left college in 2014

2. Walked away from coaching altogether in 2021

3. Assembled a championship winning franchise 

4. Has the best roster in the NBA secured for the foreseeable future 

1+1 usually equals 2.

Whatever equation signals Brad Stevens coaching IU is why statistics is still an extremely tough course to pass.

I live in the Cincy area and paid attention to Cronin while he was at UC. Never thought they appreciated what they had but I also never really saw him as great. Good/very good but maybe not great. With better resources and support? Maybe? Not positive. Wouldn't be my first choice but I don't think he'd be a bad choice.

Why just a quote he could've said if/when answering a question that implies any question?? But really, why today, at that timing?? Really, he texts Goodman of all people? Surely he could reach out a little more serious "journalists".

You in no way addressed my post but took it as yet another opportunity to talk down to someone. Imagine. 

I was basically asking the three of you what is wrong with other people believing differently than you? For the record you haven't seen me post one thing pumping up Stevens to IU. I also believe it to have been a slim possibility. But I'm sure not showing up to crap on other people's opinions, and do you understand why?

Exactly. Look, I don’t know about some newer posters, but Chris007 and JerryYeagley don’t come off as trolls or liars. If they are they should go into the CIA and get paid as agents because they’re very convincing. The quote itself with its vagueness and the fact it’s only Goodman just seems odd. I’m not giving up hope until after Tuesday night. If there’s any truth to what we’ve heard, he’ll sign Monday, and this will leak by Tuesday.
