Creighton is a power 5 school now ever since they joined the Big East. I think what frustrates me most with the Beard issue is no one in the pro-Beard community is willing to admit the only reason Beard is even an option is because he got fired for cause from his alma mater for felony domestic violence. The focus is all on the charges being dropped. Okay, that’s fine if you want to believe it was all make believe, but that doesn’t change the fact that 1. Texas paid him zero dollars and he didn’t litigate it, and 2. Had it not happened, Beard wouldn’t be an option at all. The two issues (Beard being an option and why he is) are interconnected.
