RaceToTheTop Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Zyon Pullin commits to Florida — probably was the best remaining guard in the portal. Quote
BGVille Hoosierfan Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Hearing Reeves will be announcing he’s not coming back to UK in the next couple days from some connected to UK. Assuming this cryptic tweet is in relation to the coming news. Michigan is the perceived leader here. Go get em Woody! WayneFleekHoosier and Stuhoo 2 Quote

Apparently he’s a quiet kid and doesn’t want to be the only upperclassman on a team of 18 year olds. Quote

Still would put Reeves as their #1 and the other guy is basically Race Thompson. Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Penn State adds UNC’s DMarco Dunn. Penn State has made some really impressive transfer portal moves in total. Stacked quite a bit of athleticism, length, and potential talent. lillurk and MemphisHoosier 2 Quote

While I'm not that sold on Penn State's group -- they had to replace everybody and Torvik still rates their talent last in the Big Ten -- Micah Shrewsberry is finding out how hard it will be to recruit basketball players at Notre Dame with NIL in place. Julian Roper is the only player he has that averaged 20 minutes per game last year (21.5) and he only played 15 games and averaged a tick of 4 points per game at Northwestern. The only other transfers of note are Kebba Nije (whom I like, but he's a role player at this point) and Tae Davis (who averaged 13 minutes and 3 points at Seton Hall last year). The rest of the rotation consists of four incoming freshman who are ranked 59, 148, 188, and 195. lillurk 1 Quote

But I’m not worried about them. But they will be solid over time. I’m also not worried about Penn State but I’m impressed with what they’ve done. Torvik will be very wrong on them. No way imo are they last place with that talent. They are fighting in the middle of the pack, I guess if things don’t click maybe bottom third. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 Paul Mulcahy (Rutgers) enters the portal as a grad transfer. Time will tell. Shrewsbury is a great bball mind but I think he may find that Notre Dame doesn’t care enough about basketball and NIL bball money to make it work. MemphisHoosier and Stuhoo 2 Quote
