Archie, Archie, Archie -

Rhode Island sophomore guard Ishmael Leggett plans to transfer, he tells @On3sports. Averaged 16.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists this season. Rams’ leading scorer.

Averaged 16?  That was like half of their points in Archie’s stellar offense!

Transfers are yet to inspire too much hope. We’ve publicly reached out to at least 3 by my count. None of them are bigs. Colored me concerned and interested, but also hopeful there is an ace or 2 up someone’s sleeve.

Still got players from 64 teams who are still playing. Actually more than that if you count the NIT teams

Bigger names (pun intended) will start popping up as teams are steadily eliminated from the season ending tournaments.

Unfortunately, will probably still get beat by 40.

Just saying, we need more guards and less dudes clogging the lane.

I told you that FDU plays five out and bombs away and you said that equals a 40 point loss, yet you think IU has too many lane-cloggers!

For sure. Nervous energy from me because we need a few Home runs. Also genuinely curious if this NIL business will lead to some major moves.

Names aren't getting out in public but coaching staffs have a good read on who the likely transfer candidates are and those that might have reciprocal interest in IU.   There are some programs that are popping up with seemingly every announcement as having "reached out".  I don't sense that's how Woody will operate.

Have to say right now if IU had reached out to a lot of players, people would be wondering if the staff was focusing too much on next year and not this year.  Still end of season conversations that will be made with the players we have now that could change.

Exactly. The players in the portal already are from bad teams.
