“It was huge. It was close and we were playing tight”. “12 points is great, but he really makes his impact in the huddle”. “In the huddle he really gets guys going and makes sure we all know what’s happening”.

Starts with coaching. After the f bomb 2 iu players are consoling tjd. Really an assistant should have bee. There telling tjd what he needed to hear and getting everyone head in the mission ahead. I know players can do that but in this instance the entire thing looked damaging to those involved and after that moment things fell apart imo

The maturity level of the IU roster really shows every time I watch player interviews from the teams that play against them. Opposing players break down the game and give great responses. So often our guys are snickering between themselves and not taking the interview seriously. It’s so very telling to me.

Right after Trayce blew up he was clapping for a nice play by Durham, which makes me think he was F bombing a coach

Yep, player vs coach ‘outbursts’ are becoming the regular.  Jerome last game had an odd outburst.  Miller sent him to the locker for him to come back shortly.  Players consoling him too.  
 

it’s just drama.  When you win, you love each other. When you lose, you hate each other or the coaching staff.  Who knows.

My post got deleted? Explain why please? I didn't attack anyone and simply responded to a redundant post. What did I do wrong? Actually ahead of time apologized to him personally.

The players have to watch the game without alcohol. I don’t blame them for the outbursts.

That’s the best he can do given the circumstances. He never acts like an @$$. The entire problem is that his team consistently sucks.

And that’s a really bad problem for a coach to have.

I had one deleted too.  I took a shot at the IU administration and their priorities.  I don’t care it was deleted but it wasn’t wrong.

Probably just let it go. This season is frustrating but you won't win vs the mods. Its not a big deal anyhow. Move on with the misery lol

Y’all don’t have to be ‘wrong’ for a post to be deleted.

A favor—please pm a mod if you have questions so that the b-ball threads can stay b-ball. Mods aren’t infallible—when people are frustrated we’re trying to keep all venting about sports not other posters. It’s a slippery slope once it starts sometimes.

I tried to like your post because it is 100% right.

But these mods are trying to eliminate pot shots at posters which is also 100% right.

To get back on the game - TJD has to play, but I’m shocked that these outbursts in the huddles aren’t resulting in prolonged bench stays. Hunter was starting the game after his.

Part of it has to be Archie’s seat is getting hotter and he knows it and part of it is likely he’s still so thin he’s got no choice, but it’s incredibly alarming. Starts at the top, but man that was an embarrassing display tonight out of that timeout

Even with our current train wreck of a basketball team, the board has been a lot less internally adversarial lately because we’ve been trying to eliminate poster on poster violence.
