Sometimes when I say I'm 75% sure, what I really mean is the 25% is probably right. Seems like all the talk was IU-UNC and Syracuse was leading the whole time. Well on to the next one.

Looking like it’ll be Syracuse. Until it’s announced anything can happen but at least he got it out of the way so IU has plenty of time to chase other recruits if that is the result.

Not a single vote yet on 247. Normally someone on there has early insight. Lord knows my optimism sets me up for heartbreak, but as Lloyd Christmas would say, "you're tellin' me there's a chance".

If you follow Samuel Story on Twitter, you know the person running that account has insight into IU basketball. He just had a tweet that - reading between the lines - confirms that Indiana missed on Taylor and Flip.

I’m surprised Sam Story is tweeting about iu again after the big hissy fit he threw during the spring. I wouldn’t call what he does “confirming” anything. He just tweets out word salads that don’t actually say anything of significance so that way he gets attention and creates the perception of having insight into iu sports without having to deal with people calling him out if he’s wrong. And when he is wrong he just deletes the tweets.

Good luck at Syracuse. On to the next one. My prediction is we will have around 15 offical visits for the class of 2022 and will land two GREAT recruits.

Usually I’d be bummed missing out on a kid but with the rule changes I’ve got a suspicion that FA is going to be how successful programs build themselves soon.

Couldn't agree more. I posted something similar in the another thread. No doubt someone on staff is responsible for monitoring and researching guys in the portal.

I’m sure somebody on staff is in charge of putting out feelers insinuating we would be interested if a player entered the portal

Sounds like tapering and I'm sure things are going to get messy. Like wild, wild west messy. Given the current state of the NCAA, there's really no incentive not to get down in the dirt.

It happens for sure. Usually through back channels like a family friend, trainer, “handler”.
